So I had a spare day to mess with these and had some ups and downs but pretty much got them sorted. For the life of me I could not get these to cycle with subs no matter what I did to the gas system. Then I had an epiphany and voila, the guns now shoot sub perfectly and reliably. Because of the custom part I needed to make I am *guessing* this is a first anywhere except maybe the CZUB R&D department. Not even sure they have it sorted though since I cannot find Bren 2 MS barrels anywhere in .300.

Now I have the first one out of the way it's just a matter of making a drawing of the new part and the modification to the barrel and we will have our supply of 8" .300 barrels off for turning. These will be complete ,drop-on barrels in .300 AAC and will have a TWO position gas regulator only, one for 220 gr. subs and one for 150 gr. supers.

Good news to go along with yesterday's news that ol' Juggy pulled out of Trudy....

There is a company in the U.S. called Mos-Tek that did caliber conversions for the Bren 2 a while back. They made up some 300 blackout barrels as well as other calibers. Probably more of a niche service in the U.S. because of the AR. I bet it would be interesting to compare notes with them.

I know them well and no, super nice folks, and they don't do it how we do it. Because when they make .300 AAC barrels they ask the customer which can will be used in conjunction so they can tune it for that can. Here in Kanada we don't have the added benefit of having a pressure vessel like a suppressor to add back pressure to cycle the bolt so I had to use up some grey matter and make two custom parts to help the rifle achieve enlightenment.

Serenity now.

Looking forward to those 300 blackout barrels.

I wonder if we get a new administration if they can be convinced to consider suppressors safety equipment, like they are in Slovenia, as highlighted by Jiga at Polenar Tactical. You might want to contact the Polenar guys to see if they'd like to sell your kits in Europe; 300 Blackout is a bit niche there, but they might be interested.
