I loved my Swiss CQB with a 7.5", so I'm absolutely voting for the 8".

I already own enough semi NR length and military length rifles as it is. As much as I will eventually get a 14" Bren, I've always been a sucker for shorty/QCB/Krinked rifles. Hence the inital 8" order.

The obnoxious muzzle blast, unspent powder and excess noise are just a 'bonus'.

Yeah, however the 551 length of 14.3" was the cream of that crop from a practicality and usability standpoint.

of the two lengths; 8" or 11", I'd take the 14" barrel...

I quite agree with you from a handling and ballistics perspective.

But did the 14.3" breath fire like a thousand dragons? There's just something about unburnt powder making a massive fireball that was always fun.

Given what we use these kind of rifles for in Canada I think the 8" proves to me the most fun. If its not an NR might as well be a shorty.

These will take any 20-30 AR steel or polymer style mags along with any of the Magpul 50rd drums, these are exempt from the 5rd limit due to a "special" exemption and since there are not included in the OIC
However you have to call the CFO and tell him how many mags you have? and when you are going out to the range. Nuff said.
