CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

Looking for an answer from Marstar as I am getting mixed reviews. Do we need a crush washer for the muzzle break?

I'm not with Marstar or anything, but I don't think a crush washer is required with these flash hiders. The original barrel didn't seem to use one, and 3 prong flash hiders do not require timing whatsoever. Also, the cz website claims that the angle on the prongs of these continually retorque the muzzle device while firing, so the locking function of crush washers is less important. I'd say to just try to find a torque spec and send it.

Edit: Marstar says a crush washer IS RECOMMENDED!

I ordered back on May 18th haven’t seen mine shipped yet though I did order the Hbi handguard with my order so if those aren’t in maybe they won’t ship till they show up.

just called marstar, so it is an issue with the custom. They were holding the handguard, all orders with handguard are just waiting for handguard to arrive.
The handguards were released on Monday and should be with marstar today.

also my orders were partially paid, make sure pay all the remaining layaway payments so they can ship the order.

Hoping this is all true and I see a shipping notification today.

That’s my opinion as well, just would like an “official” answer for peace of mind.

A buddy just got his in a few days ago. 16" conversion. Had it out at the range last night, and holy crap is it ever sweet. NONE of you are gonna be disappointed.

Just a note, the 16" guns have a break that DOES require a crushwasher to time it correctly. The 11" guns have the three prong doohickey that do not necessarily need a crush washer although if you do t use one at the very least put a dab of BLUE Loctite on it to stop the thing from coming loose.

My $.02 for what it's worth.

Finally got it out to the range. Yeah... this might be my new favourite rifle.

Dropped a Primary Arms SLX on it and had it dialed in after 3 rounds. Easily 2 - 3 MOA with my reloads, as long as I was doing my part. I love the trigger - a bit of take-up and then a smooth break. No recoil at all.

I quickly learned to not use the charging handle as the bolt release - you will grind your fingers against the rail 50% of the time. Instead, learn to use the in-the-trigger bolt release - which I freaking love. Great idea.

This is a great rifle. Definitely worth the wait.
