They had prices on there, but now they seem to have removed them :) Probably their usual tricks https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2266016-Bren-2-North-Sylva-Restricted-Imports

has anyone got more info on these yet. Msrp or whos gonna be selling them. From my understanding north sylva is just the importer or do we buy direct from them?

The NR is more likely to be a conversion, Dlask in Delta has one on order with plans to manufacture NR barrels for them. NS is the Canadian importer, they don't sell to the public, Irunguns is bringing them across the border, they'd be happy to sell you one - as long as you don't mind restricted.

And what are you going to do with your NR Bren 2 if they ban them? Hide it under your bed never to see the light of day? Serious question. Have you really thought this through, I wonder?

If someone has land, I suspect buried in a barrel of cosmoline in a random spot might be the choice for some...

Guns are on a long list of things to hide from the feds. They may not even be #1 on that list.

Or the ability to use it for rifle things with less government harassment. ATT? Nope. Mil range endorsement? Nope. Telling the cops where it is? Nope.
ARs were only worth it because they were a better SR tool than anything else and allowed cross training with the C7.

I’ll be picking one up, if and when they finally show up. What the government is planning on doing is pretty much the last thing on my worry list wether it’s firearms, vehicles or covid shots.

I suppose one could hide under a rock or a bed if one wanted to. !!!

Giving a guy a hard time for a gun he might not turn into big bro if it was banned? Suspect there will be a lot of that lol.

Gunnerlove, I agree. Love me some ARs too but...something to be said for hunting with your rifle, or taking it to the pit or...

Do you expect an answer to this question on an Internet forum?

No, I was more trying to make the point that if they prohibit the Bren 2 it won't matter a lick if you own a R or a NR example. That will spell the end of any open use of the rifle, be it in the woods or on a range. Most owners won"t be able to risk being caught with the gun outside of their registered dwelling place, period. So at the end of the day there is zero practical difference between the two classifications. Some folks think that NR is some magical means of avoiding a goverment-mandated prohibition, which I find laughable (not to mention wilfully delusional).

All is takes is one chance encounter with a Conservation Officer, a Queen's Cowboys seatbelt check-stop, or some other unlucky interaction and you lose your PAL/RPAL, all of your guns, and perhaps your vehicle depending on what the CO can make stick. As I said, wilfullly delusional. Or perhaps just too young/stupid/cocky to understand the potential lifetime of implications for a bit of clandestine "fun" with an unregistered, prohibited firearm. You think they will let you off like some gang-banger? Wrong - you are an evil gun owner in the eyes of the majority, good only for acting as an example and warning to others so inclined.....

The "hold my beer" crowd frequently mistakes the possession of "balls" with the performance of abjectly stupid, darwinian behaviour. FWIW, my own "ball" is fully intact - the one I have remaining after being seriously wounded following weeks of near-continuous combat. You know, the kind with bullets flying both directions. Some of us become more seriously-minded in our older age or after we have been exposed to the vagaries of life. Others just bumble through with misplaced confidence right up to the point that an unexpected catastrophe (usually of their own making or omission) leads to a life of public welfare, a disability, or both. Your response clearly indicates your likely trajectory. Good luck.
