cz compact 3.75 inch barell?

are the CZ compact legal to have in canada as the barrel length is below 4"? or is it the overall size of the pistol?

Prohibited barrel length. No way is that coming into Canada. Size of pistol doesn't matter,goes by barrel length.

All the compact pistols in Canada either come with extended barrels or the tactical threaded barrels to meet the 106mm requirement. I've got a few examples of both.

Typically no. One exception was the Glock 19 Canadian Edition with a legal, Glock made barrel (as opposed to aftermarket for that platform).

A while back IRunGuns was talking to CZ-USA about getting some CZ SP-01 Compacts in with Canada-legal extended threaded barrels. I had forgotten about that until now. I wonder what ever came of that?

Just to clarify, sub-105mm barreled handguns that were already in Canada prior to the mid-1990s are able to keep their original barrels as long as they’re owned by a 12.6 license holder.

I was watching this thread as well. Earlier this year someone else brought in a batch and I was lucky enough to get one. Nice little shooter.
