CZ Model 85 Combat Rear Sight

I purchased a new CZ Mobel 85 Combat from a dealer here in Edmonton last month and really like the gun. I think I have put approx 300 rounds thru it. Yesterday after coming home from the range I was clening it and notice the rear sight was loose. It is adjustable and it spring loaded or so the manual states. Being new to handguns I was wondering if this is normal?

Depends on what you mean "loose". I have had 85's for years and there is movement up and down with the spring, but should not be side to side. The dovetail should be firmly embedded in slide.

It is adjustable and when you turn the screw to move it back and forth it was a fair bit of side to side movement. It does seem to firm up back I am wondering why it would have becaoem loose in the first place. Thanks for you comments.

Just an update but I called the dealer and they agree someting is wrong with the gun. I have to wait a week until the CZ warranty guy comes back from vacation to find out what they can do about it. I am really frustrated with gun quality this days.
