CZ owners, lets talk mags

I recently picked up a CZ sp-01 shadow. It is coming with the 3 stock mags they normally do but I would like a more for IPSC.

I have been talking to several people and gotten several different opinions.

Found 3 options for mags

Mec-Gar
Tangfolio
and stock CZ75 mags

What are peoples thoughts on the best mags for shadows?

I've used exclusively stock ones and mecgar with no issues. Avoid mecgars that don't have the plastic base. The all metal ones dent and bend at the corners and can sieze onto mag or otherwise become deformed

Do you have a mag holder you find works well with them?

I use the Mecgars with the base pads

I bought the mecgar ones for my CZ and they work great. I use the CR Speed mag holders.

Another vote for the mecgar with base pads...I've had zero issues....

I have used Jericho mags and they work fine in both my CZ75Bs in 9 and 40s&w. If you use the 40 mags they hold a couple of extra 9mm rounds. (I am not recommending that)

You're right...I believe it's the sp-01 tactical that comes in .40

I bought mine from CRAFM but looks like they don't have any right now.

I'd recommend CZ original. I've tried others and found them not to be 100% reliable to feed. The difference in price is minimal (~$10 savings per mag). Why bother. I bought original last week for $45 from a sponsor.

What other brands have you used? Ive had a few people tell me some brands seem to work better then the cz mags.

best price Ive found on CZ mags is $65. Which is why a $45 mag of a different brand that works aswell or better is a big draw for me.

Mec gar are slicked up with some coating. 100% reliable... Awesome mags

Wolverine Supplies also sells E-lander magazines for the CZ 75 at a great price but I cannot comment on how they are cause I haven't got any.

I had some, they work. They have the dentable flat metal base pads.

will be used for competitions so the mags will be dropped to the ground. A base pad that doesnt bent is a must.

Jr holster pouches but they fit all the available brands: ghost, double alpha, cr speed, blade Tech etc

Crafm, Marstar, Northern Republic magazine lots of places stock them. Google them and or go through the dealer list here on CGN and search the individual websites
