CZ owners, lets talk mags

Wolverine Supplies also sells E-lander magazines for the CZ 75 at a great price but I cannot comment on how they are cause I haven't got any.

I've got 3 of the E-Landers with Polymer base they've worked great so far in 5 matches and a bunch of practice. I had one issue in that they are limited to 10 by the springs and after a short while they could take 11 or 12 rounds, Wolverine replaced the springs and no issues since.

will look in to the ones with a polymer base.
Thanks

I have cz, norinco, mec-gar, and tanfoglio. The tanfoglio mags and mec gars are super slick and have run well for me in dusty conditions dumping them onto the ground. The cz mags have been decent. The norinco mags are horrible and turn into salt shakers in the faintest bit of dust.

I recently ordered and encountered immediate issues with E-Lander mags where they would fail to feed. Taking a close side by side look, original CZ on left the two E-Lander mags on right were slightly wider at the top and the metal extended to cover more of the follower. This may have been a unique bad batch. I returned them for refund and replaced with CZ original.

so here is the scoop. Mec-Gar makes all the mags, pretty much for everyone, including Tanfo and CZ. Yes the tanfo ones are nice, but they don't work for lefties in an CZ without mods, they aren't the best anymore. the new MG CZ ones (10, 17 or 19) are the best. CZ has gone to them for all markets except where the have to ship the crap 1/3 plastic ones (like Oz or Kalifornia). With any luck the discussions I had with both CZ and MG at IWA will come to fruition and we'll see the goodly 10 rounders shipping to Canada, with +2 pads available, or even on them already.

Do you like to put pads on the bottom of the mec gar mags? or just use them a they are until they break?

I have used Jericho mags and they work fine in both my CZ75Bs in 9 and 40s&w. If you use the 40 mags they hold a couple of extra 9mm rounds. (I am not recommending that)

Never seen a .40 cal CZ mag that could hold 9mm. The feed lips are too wide to hold them in. Steyr, Berreta, and FN .40 mags work fine for 9mm though.

Lot of the mags hitting the market from MG are marked 9mm on one side and 40 on the other.

I have yet to break a basepads on the MG full body mags

I have the mecgar 10 rounders. Is there any rubber base pad I can purchase for them?

I'd recommend the mec gars as well. Picked up 2 of them from Marstar great quality and good price. I do not recommend the e-landers with the metal base for use in competition as they will get beat up and deformed very quickly - additionally they deform to the point that very sharp edges appear at the rear of the mag and can result in cutting your hand as you reach back to grab reloads. I fixed them by sanding but nothing can prevent the easily damaged steel base plates short of buying new rubber/plastic/aluminum pads - eliminating any cost savings. Also I found that the e-landers use a coiled spring base to reduce the mag capacity to 10. 3 out of 4 of my e-landers let me load 11-13 rounds, a problem if you shoot ipsc and occasionally lose count while loading and also is a legal liability. Mine may be anomalies but not worth the risk - I use them for dry fire practice now with dummy rounds and have replaced them with mec-gars.

I bought one hoping I could gain a few extra rounds.... I wish I had of talked to someone else who tried it first. It will hold 13/14 rounds but it will not feed reliably at all!
