Now that these haven out for a couple of weeks, how do you people like them?
Can anybody compare it to anything else?
Glock17 gen5
Sig 320 full size
Sig 226
CZ Shadow
I have one and I’m thinking I want a shadow .. lol

Thanks

Shadow and 226 are metal framed hammer guns and will be completely different.

Sig 320 in my experience has the worst trigger of the 3 striker fired polymer guns.

The cz and glock are very close to each other with differences being ergonomics. As for long term durability. Time will tell the glock and sig p226 are the two most proven options in the list.

Shadow is very popular with gamers so if ipsc is your jam it warrants a good look.

I should have said that I’ve owned the shadow 1and 2.
Really liked them but wasn’t a fan of the DA trigger.

I’ve read you can get the 320 trigger pull down to 3 1/2 lbs.

The 10 F is at 5 1/2 lbs after it hits the wall.

The P10 series, with the HBi you can drop the trigger down to 3lb easy. Now, an all steel gun will not make you shoot better, don't like to that non-sense. Get a firearm that feels good in the hands, and something you will like to shoot. Take classes from Master, or GM guys in IPSC and practice. Shooting 200 rounds a month, that's horse ####. That's like Crosby taking 20 shots a month at a net and hoping to be a great player.

All of the guns you listed at great guns, just get the one that feels best in your hands. I've shot all of them, and I feel like the P10c with the L strap feels great for me.

You are correct. But all steel guns are typically favoured especially with light sa triggers because they cover up poor fundamentals a lot more than a lightweight poly gun.

Did you have a chance to hold the P320 M17? I believe the trigger is different. Don’t take my words on this bit would stop by your gun shop and see if they have it.

Making a shadow into a SA isn’t a really big thing to do either. Perhaps you want to see your options. And you already know they are great guns!

To get back to the 320 M17, if i had the budget for that i would get it in a hart beat. Really enjoyed how it felt in hand and i don’t recall finding the trigger bad.

Cheers

You are correct there, a very light trigger will hide bad trigger finger at close range, but once you start shooting long range it will start to show. It amazes me how many people are okay with 20/30 shots on classic ipsc target at 25m, thinking it's good. I wouldn't say I'm an amazing shot but I compared my Shadow 2 to my wife's P10c at 25m shooting .35 splits for 10 rounds each, and I didn't really see a difference on an 8 inch paper plate. It all comes down to mastering the fundamentals.

Nailed it. The mechanical accuracy of most modern pistols are quite excellent.

To the OP it depends on what you want to do.

I have a base Shadow1 made in 2015 and the trigger out of the box was way heavier with more take up than a version of the gun I had in 2009 when the base Shadow1 was CZ's "pistol" for IPSC Production. Right now the base Shadow1 is nothing to write home about out of the box. Add a 13# hammer spring and a 11# recoil spring and do some work on the innards and you are in a different world.

For striker fired guns I would rate my striker fired list:
Tier 1

PPQ Match - Best Stock Trigger matched with outstanding accuracy. There is simply nothing that needs changing out of the box unless you have a colour preference in FO rods.
320 XFive - Will in time have the most support of any pistol outside of the Glock series. It has the most present and future versatility of any guns mentioned here.

Tier 2

Glock 34 (IDPA Only)
M&P Pro 5"
Springfield XD
Glock 17
CZ P10F a tier 1 wannabe. Late in the market and should be a Tier 1 gun. I will get a chance to shoot one soon enough. It may move up. I have shot all the rest frequently and own several of them. Like them all. It is just some come from the factory better than others.

Tier 3
Beretta on looks alone.

Any one of the Tier 2 pistols can be customized to the point where they are or are almost a Tier 1 gun but as they come from the factory there is a difference.

Take Care

Bob
