Yes it does.
CeeZer You are thinking of the P-01 which is the gun the Czech police use. You are right though the large trigger guard is to facilitate the use of gloves.
Can someone post a picture of the gun with the longer barrel? It would be nice if CZ brought in the P-01 with an extended barrel as well.

Mike a 15# mainspring would cure the DA trigger pull I think. The gun with an extended barrel would be legal in both Canada and the US for play in IDPA.

I handled one myself today @ P&D, felt very nice in the hand. I went in to look at a used 75B, but it was sold already. I'm sitting on the fence right now wether to get a new 75B or this new duty unit, price diff is only $25 so that isn't enough to sway anyone. The new polymer one fit me just a tad better, but I'm sure the 75 is a little nicer to shoot.
The good people at P&D were willing to help me out with a couple pictures. I was super pumped about this at first but then the idea of being able to use all the mags I've already got if I go with a Phantom really started to linger in my mind. I'm a little leary about the polymer sights too.
I got to shoot one of these tonight at DVC.
The finish is typical CZ. Utilitarian but acceptable. It won't win any beauty contests but it looks just fine. The fit is a bit rough. Cycling the slide had a rough feel to it. But it's VERY new so perhaps this will smoothen out with time.
The gun shoots nicely. It's easily as capable of good accuracy as any other CZ. It was certainly better than me. However the trigger pull for both DA and SA is terrible. It feels gritty and moves in little jumps as you pull it through the DA stroke. There's a fair amount of takeup in SA before it begins to move the sear. Once in contact there's some rough feeling creep before the hammer lets go. Again this is a new gun with nothing haveing been done to it so perhaps some cleaning and minor polishing would smoothen this up. One thing that was good about the trigger is the VERY CLEAR reset. This made it very easy to release only to the reset point, feel the strong click in my finger and then take the next shot without letting it out into the extensive free play.
The ergonomics were good. It fits the hands in the typical two thumbs pointed forward IPSC style grip just fine. The molded in grip areas on the sides and on the front and back strap areas are extremely sharp and I'd want to dub them down with some superfine sandpaper to just polish off the razor edges. Then it would be fine. Still grippy but not so much like a freshly sharpened cheese grater....
It's a proprietary magazine so the other CZ 75, 85, SP-01 and similar mags won't fit.

Yeah, the bit about the magazines sucks, but I'm so drawn to this pistol naturally. Too bad about the shody trigger, that's a real turn off and I may pass on this due to this issue. It's a big issue. The trigger on my M&P isn't great and is heavy (like safe action) but it's predictable at least and not gritty.

I'm sure much of the trigger feel issues would go away with a proper cleaning and a bit of attention by a knowledgable tinkerer or a short visit with a gunsmith. As I mentioned this was a new gun that due to need was put into use right away and shot a lot. I'm sure the insides look like a gravel pit at this point. I only pointed out the issue to note that some trigger work would likely be desireable soon after purchase.
I think replacing the mainspring with a 15# or 13# spring would go a long ways in reducing the DA trigger pull as well. Seems to be the cure for the other compact models made by CZ.
As to holsters there are a number of good holster makers identified on the CZ Forum the produce quality products for reasonable prices. Hazel Leather would be one I would look at. HIs prices are reasonable and his products top notch.

Hell, looks like a standard CZ hammer... you might be able to put a competition hammer on there and I'd definitely reduce the main spring (hammer) to 13#.
If I were to get one that would definetly be my plan along with a good cleaning to try to get rid of the gritty feeling trigger. I know from my Shadow and a lot of happy owners of other CZ guns that THIS P7's gritty and jumpy trigger feel is certainly not a standard CZ feature. So with a good cleaning and a lighter spring I'm sure this would be a decent shooter. It sure did group nicely and with the improvements in the trigger pull it'll only get better.
... if only it shared the same magazines with my Shadow.....

i currently own a P-07 and so far im happy with the gun over all. yes the trigger does need some work, however that said i use a PARA SSP.
Ive been talking to the gunsmith at TSE and he knows some people back home(Switzerland) that own this and have some ideas on refining the trigger. however a polish is going to the most economical of course. i love the feel of the gun and how it sits in my hands. i dont feel nor can i find any sharp edges on the gun.
my current list of things i wish to do to this gun are pretty simple. new sites, the decocker sit up and of course a trigger job. after that i really cant think of anything that could make this gun any better for myself.
as a side note. CZ now make their own holsters for the gun and bladetech does as well.

it as kind of the same feel, however it fits slimmer in the hand then the 75/85 and SP01, reason being no grip panels to add girth.
It's closer to but a little fatter than the Ruger SR9. My Shadow feels quite "full" by comparison. Even with my bigger sized (Large to X-large glove size) hands it felt like I was getting a nice supportive grip. Yet due to it being smaller than my Shadow small to medium hands should also find it fits well. The real issue for smaller hands will be the long reach to the trigger for the first double action shot for many competition events. Once that's done though the trigger reach isn't bad. Just a lot of takeup before it touches the sear. But once you fire the first time the reset is VERY noticable and you can keep the trigger in close and keep on shooting.
