CZ P75 Shadow 1 vs Shadow 1 Australia

The Shadow 2 was designed for Production.

The rubber grips on the Shadow are fine - maybe people prefer them.

Many people will never do a 13lb hammer - but if you’re going to do it on the original, you would do it on the S2 as well.

The best price I’ve seen for the S2 was $1150 on sale I think. I paid $1200 from Al’s a little over a year ago.

Either way, the gun is the cheapest aspect in the long run. Slavex has 120,000rds through some of his pistols. Multiply that by .15c each...

The gun that fits your hand is what’s best for you. CZ’s are kind of like Lays - you’ll probably end up with more than one anyways. I found a nice Shadowline on the EE that comes to the range occasionally. Fits new shooters/my wife’s hands well.
 
I didn't even mention the comp hammer - I was referring to the little spring so your trigger finger doesn't get as tired. :)

I've seen the S2 for $1125 - but I haven't looked in a very long time.
 
nah not 15 cents, I don't pay for mos of my ammo soooooooo
but yeah, the gun is the cheapest part of your journey down the rabbit hole. Even tricking a gun out is cheap compared to ammo if you really intend to shoot. Most of my good friends shoot a gun's worth in ammo a month or so, sometimes even less. But those are the extreme end of things. If you're doing a $1000.00 a year in ammo you'll be ahead of most people.
 
Haha .15c-.17c a round for the average guy.

I've got 5000 bullets arriving on Friday for $500. I will likely need a resupply before outdoor season starts, maybe April/May.

Maybe. I just ordered a small pile of factory 9 mm from a large American network that starts with C, it was close to $0.20 per round after mail-in rebate.

Reloading is still cheaper, but not drastically cheaper once you take into account time required to collect, prep, and reload. OTOH, you can fine tune your loads. I'd like to try reloading for rifle at some point

Those mail in rebates can be awesome - I used one for 4000rds of Federal 9mm last year (the max for two households)

I only started shooting rifle BECAUSE I wanted to reload for it. I was only loading pistol when I started reading about it. I find the whole process really interesting - but yes, very time consuming.

Slightly derailed, but the point stands - in the long run, the pistol is the cheapest part of the equation.
