CZ P9 cadet 22lr

Hi trying to find out if you can buy the P9 9mm slide and parts and put them on the 22lr cadet. Any help or info would awesome.

Hello, P09 pistol is primary designed for cal.9x19 and Kadet conversiom kit (slide+barrel+magazine) was offered later for training purpose of use. P-09 in 22LR was produced too. It means, if you have P-09 pistol in cal.22LR, your frame is suitable for shooting in 9x19 too. But the conversion kit for your pistol to cal. 9x19 is not available.

So frames are identical but you need to find the parts yourself to convert it.

I believe the Sig p226 had a similar situation. You could buy a 9mm and buy a 22lr conversion kit, but there were significant savings (a few hundred) by buying the 22lr and converting to 9mm. It's nice when the frames are the same.

The frames are the same dimensions, but the .22 P226 is aluminum, and I'd highly recommend not using a larger calibre steel slide on it due to wear and tear from huge increase in force from the much larger calibres available.
