CZ pistols.. having a very hard time deciding for IPSC production.

I'm deciding between the SP01 Shadow and the P07 Duty.

I'm a big fan of polymer framed pistols however, have never fired the P07 only handled it and was impressed (but not with the DA trigger pull).

I have fired the SP01 extensively and absolutely love it.

What I'm looking for is my new baby for IPSC production. I would shoot IDPA but I'm not a member where anyone shoots it and it may be something I'll get into this summer.

Give me your thoughts, right now I'm leaning towards the P07 as I find it interesting and am just inlove with it but feel I've always avoided purchasing the SP01 to my own detriment (always bought different pistols instead of it).

Not sure, but I saw the new CZ catalogue,...a CZ SP01 Target was being offered. Basically a custom shadow with better sights.
 
Have an SP01 Shadow and love, love, love this gun!!! Out of my collection this is by far my favorite hands down! go with the SP01! Actually I find the weight of the metal frame an advantage with controlling kick. Good luck with your decission.
 
I have the SP01 Shadow. I also shot the P07 when my club got them. There is no comparison: P07 is a nice gun, but the Shadow is in a class of its own.
 
SP01 is tuned for competition. The Duty is a fine duty pistol but has a pretty god aweful trigger and must less recoil-absorbing weight.
 
P07 is not a IPSC gun, its a just that a duty gun - small and light. Shadow was pretty much designed for the competition, heavy, longer sight radius,nicer trigger.

I'm not too sure how I feel about the P07, plastic sights look pretty cheap and the polymer surface is a bit smooth for me has that toy gun feeling. :/
 
you might want to check approved guns for IPSC. Not sure if the P-07 is approved for production div. yet

Finally ordered myself a Shadow.

I feel pretty confident in this one. I don't know why I've avoided buying one thus far.
