I dunno, I just find that very strange.
I've shot so much that only a full blown race gun raises my pulse.
I'm bored, what can I say. Also enjoy his STI Steel Master.

LOL....the trigger was horrible??...LOL...compared to what??..PLEASE tell us what you are comparing it to??!!.....PLEASE tell us that you've found the "ultimate pistol" that was delivered to you by God, while you slept!...
I own a CZ75 and owned a 85 combat, and have shot several different pistols(in the last 25 plus years.) Ive shot comp with both of them (CZ's) and done very well. And IMHO, (for the money) a CZ shoots just as nice as many high priced pistols and is just as accurate in the right hands!....LMAO
.....ahhh just fun'n wi'cha, thats all.
But thats some funny sh!t right there.....
I started with an M&P... which I did like. I also own a Glock... which I dont really like. Then, at the last match I tried my buddies CZ 85 and was immediately a convert. I shot better with that gun, with NO practice at all, than I did with my own M&P ive practiced with.
I also owned a Glock 21 and a 1911... after shooting both I traded the glock for a CZ SP-01 Tactical. I have come to realize I prefer the weight of an all metal gun VS polymer. I would like a sig 226 though. Id like to try one at least.
At the end of the day, everyone ive seen shoot a CZ at the range shoots it EXTREMELY well... and non of them seem to be trying very hard. Im looking forward to the next match so I can see how my scores improve with a CZ.
I am curious about what it is that makes the cz pistols quite popular. This is not a complaint about them as I admit I have limited experience but I was over at the local gun shop yesterday with a friend who is looking to purchase his first pistol and we both handled the 75b SA, the shadow, and the 85 models.
The 75b and the 85 felt real clunky and cheap. The SA trigger was horrible.
The shadow was a bit more solid.
In comparison the sigs and the 92 beretta quality and finish seemed much better.
My friend and I were not too impressed with the CZ but i know many of you swear by them so what is it about them?
Thanks.
It's a heavier pistol with a reasonably nice ergonomic grip and a lower bore axis than berrettas or sig 226 or usp. As a result(at least the 9mms I have shot) they are soft shooting, and easy to group with.
I personally am not impressed by them. They are a joy to shoot because they make it so easy, but I don't think they can handle the level of abuse a proper combat handgun like a quality sig 226, or hk, or glock can handle.
They also cover up poor form. So if you yourself are not that great a shot but want to hide that, a cz75 will do a good job of hiding it.

Bizarre. They are very solid guns.
They are solid and very tight. I had one severe slide jam though, found the magazine had a bit of dirt and a grain of sand had caused the slide to jam shut. Force was necessary to open the slide, cleaned the mag and gun, all is fine but....

......but..(waiting) dont leave us hanging......
Lol, your posts sure seem to mirror a banned member by the name of TDC.
My CZ Shadow is without a doubt more accurate (IMO) then any of the Sigs I have owned in the past and is the only gone I haven't flipped yet.![]()
wow really?...ok, how the hell do I respond to this? The CZ does a good job of covering poor form?...LOL Ok, I can assure you there's nothing wrong with my form. So your saying that if Im given anything other than a CZ, then you will notice how bad my form is? I'm assuming compared to your form? I'm interested in what makes you think that a CZ cant shoot as good as a sig226, or HK, or Glock?? Where did you get your info, in order for you to make this kind of statement?.......we are waiting for you response.![]()
Wait, so good ergonomics = good shooting = poor form?
So its better to have a gun with ####ty ergonomics so you shoot better?! Really? REALLY?
That's like saying drive a ####ty car to learn to drive better than driving a better car to make driving easier in general?!
Mind = blown
No YOU are more accurate with the cz than the sig. That doesn't mean the pistol is more accurate. I can almost gurantee you that the inherent accuracy of the pistols if you were to lock them down on a test rig would be identical or very close.
Like I said before me and TDC see eye to eye in many things. That doesnt make me him.
I have stated the facts on them, and also what my opinion of them is.
Heavy mixed with low bore axis with a nicely rounded grip, means its a nice pistol to hold, and very easy pistol to shoot accurately. It forgives more than the lighter polymers like glocks or my hk.
But I have one very simple question for you. Can you run 2000 rounds through it one day with no fear of it choking? I trust my hk to do that with ease. Do you trust it to go through anything mud, sand, water, freezing arctic, and still run? I trust my hk on all of the above.
I must agree. People believe the CZ is actually more accurate than a lot of other pistols but it's not. It's just easier for someone, especially a noob, to shoot more accurately than most other pistols. More so when we are talking specifically about the CZ Shadow and yes, I am a CZ fan. They have become some of my favorite pistols but I don't find them any more accurate than my Sig P226 or Beretta 92A1.
As far as reliability goes, I've had some FTF with my CZ Shadow in IPSC matches but that's about it. Probably a mag issue. My Sig P226 on the other hand has been flawless in the IPSC matches that I've used it for and I've had it a lot longer. Sand/dirt in the mags? Doesn't matter. It keeps shooting. I trust my Sig to perform in anything. My CZ's are still working on gaining my trust.![]()
Like I said before me and TDC see eye to eye in many things. That doesnt make me him No but you sound just like him, opinionated and immature.
I have stated the facts on them,..... pion NO you have stated your opinion, and mostly without much merit.

But I have one very simple question for you. Can you run 2000 rounds through it one day with no fear of it choking?Yes but like any gun it can fail. Out of approx. 140 shooters last year I witnessed four Glocks have jams from hell on one stage and there were likely less than 40 Glocks in the field. That doesnèt make 10% of all Glocks jama holics. It just means four Glocks failed on one stage one time.I trust my hk to do that with ease. Do you trust it to go through anything mud, sand, water, freezing arctic, and still run? I trust my hk on all of the above. Why have you been to the Arctic. If not you are just mouthing words. Drag your HK through mud, sand water then freeze it and if it still works come back and tell us all about it. We wil all take your word for it we promise.
Not sure why you are getting so butthurt. I am calling it as it is. No you call it as you see it without much background information to base it on.
TDC is often just a tactical god wannabee. If that is who you want to emulate fill your boots.
Take Care
Bob
No offense but who are you?
And I do plan on doing a full on torture test of this p30l. Don't worry, it will be well documented with video proof.
But it's not an opinion that the cz is on the heavier side, numbers dont lie. The slide in frame design was done to lower the bore axis as they have always claimed it to be, the grip at least on the ones I have handled are pretty nice. And lets be honest most people can shoot a cz much better than a glock or hk right off the bat, myself included. But that doesnt make cz pistols more accurate, than the aforementioned polymers.
Why are you cz guys so jumpy? Calm down read the whole thing and stop taking stuff out of context.
As for my opinion that I think they are fragile, perhaps you can offer them a side by side choice to professionals like travis haley, james yeager, larry vickers, kyle lam on a hk pistol or a glock against a cz. I'm sure given their choice they would go hk or glock. I maybe some nobody but their opinion definitely counts.
Of course opinion counts. Yours, mine, the next guys but opinions are opinions not facts. FYI the accuracy of the CZ and for that matter any pistol depends to a large degree on the ability of the pistol barrel to lock up the same way every time. The polymer guns like te Glock, M&P and XD use the back of the barrel to lock into the slide, a system that works but none of the three are bullseye guns. The CZ, Tanfoglio and 1911s use a Browning design which uses a different barrel to slide lock up combined with a fitted barrel bushing. This system works as well and from my experience provides for potentially more accuracy than can be achieved by the Glock, M&P or XD.
No hard feelings, if you love your cz I can totally understand why and all I can say is I'm happy for you. Actually I prefer my M&Pès for shooting SSP in IDPA. For that sport, for me, the design works better but others use Glocks, XDès CZ;s etc. My DA SA CZ and Tanfoglio work better for me in IPSC Production because of the minimum 5# first pull rule. I do not make my living selling the latest tactical methods to street warriors so whether a gun goes 2000 rds without cleaning or 10,000 makes no difference to me as I clean my guns after every range session or match. The former seldom exceeds 300 rds and the latter less than 200. If a part breaks as all mechanical devices have the potential to do I have a back-up in the range bag.
