CZ recoil spring binding?

Grumpyold your 75B didn't come with the buffs because it doesn't need one. Why Slavex continues to ride this horse is something only he can answer. The 75 Shadowline I own didn't come with one and there is no mention of one in the parts diagram for the gun either. The buff as CeeZer has pointed out would play no part in protecting the slide stop in any event. The slide stop is one part that will break over time . Some quicker than others. When it does replace it. That is what most of us do. In my case the 1988 Combat had a smaller diameter slide stop. I had Gunnar C. make the holes for the rod larger to accommodate the new version of the slide stop, and as far as I know the gun continues to serve the new owner well. To the OP read what CeeZer wrote.

Gentlemen,

Now everybody is, of course, entitled to do as they wish. I would just like to point out that Slavex has put MUCH more rounds trough CZ pistols than most of you will ever do in your life time and he has cared for many, many CZ pistols. His vast experience and very good reputation as a CZ pistol specialist on this site certainly gives him credit in my eyes. But that is me. Whatever floats your boat I guess...

I'm full aware that my wife's 75B doesn't need a buffer. I was trying to make the point that Slavex opinions and that's all they are ,don't add up. I did as you have and looked through part diagrams on CZ's site to be sure I wasn't talking out my ass and only found one reference showing buffers and only if that model was .40S&W. I wish I had written it down as I don't recall the model, but if necessary, as I don't want to miss lead people, will find it and post it. And as far as Slavex horse going beating a dead horse is a waste of time.

Then he should have no problem proofing it. If he wants me or anyone else to believe he the guru of CZ pistols and we should all trust his advice supply the info I've continued to ask for. Other wise he's just another guy with an opinion just like the rest of us. If I post advice for someone on something technical or on reloading I name the source. Shot count don't make you a expert in anything other then squeezing a trigger. If you look at posts on this site and others pertaining to buffers in CZ's the jury's in their more trouble then their worth.
