CZ Rimfires

I had a 452 Silhouette and it was awesome, should never have sold it but my friend really wanted it. I had 512 and it was super accurate but another friend had to have it.. I bet if I tried I could have made the 50m club with that 512. I have a 452 17hmr that shoots like a laser.

I did however keep the 452 varmint 22lr and shoot it often. It loves SK flat nose, has a spring kit installed and is an absolute pleasure to shoot, and can shoot tiny little groups at 50 metres.

My 512 can probably do the 50 challenge too. Or at least very close. I was shooting some sub 1/2" groups with CCI Standard Velocity this weekend. I'll probably try it next year with a nicer scope on it.

If you can still find SK Flatnose ammo buy it as it's no longer in production.

Really? I've been using FLATNOSE "Basic" for a while now, and have been looking (halfheartedly) for FLASTNOSE "Match". Used to see it at one of my LGS, no longer.

Any idea why they're dropping it? Where did you see that?

The decision by SK/Lapua to discontinue SK Flatnose ammo came as early as April this year, perhaps earlier. I've received email confirmation of this from Nammo Sales and Marketing Manager, Janne Boström. The products may still appear on the SK website because there may be unsold stock at some dealers around the world.

Below is the most recent communication from Nammo (SK/Lapua), dated September 2, 2021. I posted it on RFC, with my contact information redacted, after some SK shooters doubted the veracity of a nearly identical message from Nammo's Boström in June of this year.

Note that a copy of this message was sent to the Canadian distributor, Hirsch Precision.

Thanks for informations on SK Flatnose I have a couple bricks sitting in my safe will use it diligently .

I have a BRNO #1, a 452 varmint and a 457 MTR 20" barrel and for not so scientific reason the 452 is still my #1 to shoot trigger is good , grouping is the best out of the 3 and wood is nice. 457 trigger even with several attempts still not to my expectation and grouping are not consistent compare to 452 and others rimfire I own. as a side note 452 have a Yodave kit install so trigger is nice and break like cristal at 10oz. Never shoot a 455 so far. I have a chance to shoot a 453 set trigger and is on the top of the list also as far as accuracy, trigger and wood.

that being said they are a very good price/quality product. and yes 457 easy caliber switch and new bolt design in a good improvement.
