CZ Ringneck 20 or 28. Trying to find one!

I think there was a 20 gauge Ringneck on the EE not long ago. You would have to go through the listings to see if it's still there. I didn't have a subgauge but I had a Ringneck 12 gauge. It was a decent gun for the money.

I saw those guns but I'm hoping to go through a Canadian dealer in the event I have warranty concerns. Thanks for the info nonetheless!

The Bobwhite is a nice gun, I have one in 20 gauge. Haven't handled a Ringneck but would expect much the same. My advice would be to look at it before you buy.

Mine's a 20 ga., too. We weren't sure what to expect in terms of durability with the CZs when they came out, but with the benefit of hindsight, they hold up very well, indeed.

I like your advice. Purchasing a new firearm sight-unseen is just as risky as buying a used one without handling it in person. I've purchased lots of guns over the internet and over the phone, but I agree it's to be avoided where possible. The CZs in particular have been inconsistent at times with the aesthetics of their stocks. I'm sure they're all of the same functional quality, but I wouldn't want to be the guy who gets the one with knots in the wood. Overall, though, the CZs are great value.

Full disclosure: We did not have any relationship with CZ, dealers, or distributors when we wrote this review, before, or since. We bought the guns that we reviewed at retail. No consideration was sought or received for the review.

My thoughts are that the CZs are what they are, which is an inexpensive shotgun compared to traditional side by side or over-under pricing. Those that expect mirror finish bluing and splashy stock wood may be disappointed. I find them to be a good value for the money. As someone here put it, " it ain't no Browning, but neither is the price"..
Mine was an "ordered" gun that the prospective buyer found a reason not to buy, a minor flaw in the wood.

All great discussion guys! Thanks for the feedback as always. Countdown is on for my new gun to arrive and yep, I'm gambling on the wood and aesthetics but that's the chance you take with a special order gun I guess.
