So since I never make it out to do any IPSC or anything. I am wanting to switch my CZ back to stock, partially or fully. I also run a Kadet kit, or did when it was stock,
I have done a lighter main, extended firing pin, fp spring, and of course recoil spring. Can a person run a 17# main spring and extended firing pin and reduced fp spring in 9mm? Will it hurt anything or do I need to switch those out? Kind of a shame as it runs mint with a great trigger now, but I would like to get the .22 conversion back in play to let my kid shoot it, and also make it capable of shooting any ammo when back in 9mm.

I would simply swap springs at the range when you switch between 22 or 9mm

I have a Kadet Kit Clone, the Zenith Antreg. With lighter mainspring, I get no-fire with the conversion kit. I have manually engage the hammer or do a Double Action for the 2nd try on same round. Only the mainspring/hammer spring will matter in using a conversion kit. Unless there is third party who can make an extended firing pin for the rimfire kit, then, a lighter mainspring/hammer spring might work with the conversion kit.

Right, but if I was to leave in the extended firing pin with lighter spring, it probably would not be ideal when going back to 9mm. I need to change it all back. Ideally I would have a dedicated complete CZ Kadet to go along with the Shadow.

Then, you have to swap the mainspring to keep the lighter firing pin spring and extended firing pin. Otherwise, use the factory firing pin and spring to keep the factory mainspring in both calibers. Both options are doable with a single pin holding the mainspring.

Just before Wholesale sports closed, i had an opportunity to buy a complete pistol Kadet. I wish I would have bought it. I was hesitant simply because my conversion kit shot so accurately with the Shadow.

You’re thinking too much.

Put in the #17 mainspring for the Kadet kit, then put in your #13 mainspring when you put it back to 9mm. Easy peasy.

I probably am.

I got the 17# main in, stock firing pin and fp spring in. Forgot how stiff it was from factory. Still decent but heavy double action for sure.
I was running a 11.5 Cajun mainspring before. My kid should have a blast shooting it now. Start him with one round per mag for awhile.
