Anyone know where to get a shadow 2 at a decent price still ?
Anyone know where to get a shadow 2 at a decent price still ?
Cabelas has both black and FDE, regular indecent price
I have a new black/blue Shadow 2 optic ready as well (and an Urban Grey ordered May 31). Sold all my others in last 6 months to fund these 2 keepers. It’s great right out of the box with no mods. You really don’t need to do anything except shoot the crap out of it! While your doing that there is a wealth of YouTube on the Shadow 2 and CZ 75 in general.
However I seem to have trouble leaving anything stock. I’m approaching 1000 rounds now and have Cajun Gunworks springs in the gun and the Cajun Pro kit waiting to install. I’ll do it in stages along with interior polishing.
This is a pretty good disassembly/reassembly video along with all the others out there. Video is clear and easy to see. Not a bad place to start:

.
- Stay away from polishing parts. You can do more damage than good
- Buy Mecgar mags, available from plenty of sponsors (availability will vary)
- No need to change the basepads for range plinking. Pros/cons to other types, but definitely not required unless you want to run a magwell.
One slim safety only.So I saw another post on this subject so thought I would put in here as there have been many good replies to my questions on the
Shadow 2 Blue .
Did you get both the slim safety as well as the wide safety with your purchase . On all the YouTube videos I watched they say both are included with the pistol .
Thanks

One slim safety only.
If you want an extra wider one, buy it yourself,$100
This extra wide one is right hand side only from CZ.
You can get an ambidextrous wide one from Eemann, cost you alarmist $300.
Believe me, not worth the money.
I think I just fainted $300.00. WOW !
Is Eemann aftermarket or do they make parts for CZ ?
Thanks
Leavenworth
your money will be better spent to change the springs from Emann, aftermarket.
with $300 you can change almost all the springs in the pistol, make the double action lighter, pre-travel and post-travel shorter, wall break crispier.
And you get a new flatter-ish trigger, and an extended firing pin as well.
That's where I spent my $300 on the gun.
for a safety which is rarely engaged and only used as a thumb rest, it's way over priced. I may get it if it's $50 or less.
I have not read all the posts, my suggestion, after shooting pistols for over 50 yrs, but not in competitions, is just shoot it for a while , to see how you like it, and you will, before spending any money on safeties and stuff that really don't do much, aftermarket springs, are O.K. for spares, factory springs are fine.
I red dot is nice, but I think new shooters should get use to shooting with open sights first.
Spend money on mags and ammo first.
A good mag loader is a great thing to have with double stack mags, a must if it is a chinese gun. CZ mags are not too bad
I like the Uplula ones.
you will be lucky even to get one, let alone decent price.
They're starting to show up again... Blink and you'll miss it. https://www.dantesports.com/en/cz-shadow-2-0424-0741-ejmfasx
