CZ SHADOW 2 Not Ejecting after 3k rounds

After about 3k successful rounds without a single malfunction my CZ Shadow 2 stopped ejecting randomly. I've removed and inspected ejector and the spring all looks like new no broken pieces, cleaned and install went to the range and problem is even worse after first 12 rounds it stopped ejecting again. Looking at the price of the ejectors for some reason they are crazy expensive in Canada I am going to try and replace the spring first. Are all CZ Shadow model springs interchangeable? Have anyone tried installing extra strong (i think its called) ejector spring or is it mainly for .40 cal pistols?

I was under impression CZ is the most reliable gun and my last 75B I shot for 20 years and I dont even know how to take it apart it just never failed this new thing is the different story.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I shoot IPSIC and my rounds are hand loaded with 140gr PF 130 checked through chrono.

I bought my extractor and replacement parts from ipscstore dot com but note not every item will save you $$ and they occasionally have discount codes and sales. Unfortunately I don't think the carry the extra-power extractor springs. Shipping to Canada is approx $8Euro

I reload my own to meet power factor in IPSC I use N31 and Campro projectiles @ 147. As far as springs I have run stock and I have run lighter springs and didn't experience any malfunctions in the past so basically nothing is changed recently in configuration of the gun. I've checked magazines I have mix of CZ originals and Tanfoglio and it acts the same on all of them. It will run 2-3 rounds ok then one will be stuck half way out of the chamber.

I am wondering if anyone had the same ejector issues or have replaced parts including recoil/main springs to make this rig reliable.
 
3000 rds on a recoil spring you may want to change it first. Then check your mags? When was the last time you cleaned them?
 
I think people are using "ejector" and "extractior" interchangeably... both can cause a similar issue. Look for a small chip on the tip of the ejector (pointy part of sear cage) the angle of the face on the ejector is very important.
Also any small defect on the claw of the extractor could cause a similar problem

An extra strength extractor spring is not recommended for a 9mm usually. Pull the extractor out and clean it and the pocked on it goes into, reassemble and try again.
 
Thank you everyone and just to update you on the developments I ve trued replacing the springs for a extra strong and extractor didn't even move LOL failed to feed. I did have access to a Tanfoglio springs and that one is a little longer from the Shadow 2 although have same amount of coils so didn't work. I took a part my 20 year old 75B for the first time to rob the extractor and the spring well extractor looked the same and it went in to a shadow like it was where all this this times but spring is again didn't work - to long/to much pressure on the extractor so I had to use an original spring again. Went to the range 300 rounds and she is working like it suppose The original extractor failed looks like it has a slight bent on the tip of it.
I've ordered two new extractors from IPSC store in Europe and with shipping it came to around 40 EUR

I was thinking back and analyzing reliability of parts in my 75B which went through ton of abuse it was rarely cleaned it shot all kinds of ammo even stuff picked up on the range and just dropped in to the chamber bypassing the mag it has 50K if not more and all the parts are still original it never failed to feed the only problem I've ever had is when it stoop racking on the empty mag I would give it a little scrub and blow air over it. Today this poor thing is acting as a donor to the latest and greatest in technology and craftsmanship. When I was looking for a new competition gun I was relying on my past experience but I guess past performance do not guarantee future resulta

next few picture I was trying to capture a "metal fatigue" but its almost impossible to see Ejector looks like its bent at the tip otherwise no visible damage

Interesting... i wonder if the reloads have anything to do with the extractor failing.

I have around 5500 rounds through my shadow2 . All original springs and extractor and still shooting fine. Only difference is that i used factory ammo only(Blazer and Federal) and maybe 150 rounds of reloads (range bought)in all ..

that one extractor needs to be cleaned and so does the extractor channel I'd guess.

The small amount of bend on the tip shouldn't affect anything, but if you're dropping rounds into the chamber by hand and then releasing the slide, that's a good way to bend it.
The small amount of permanent set you have on the one spring is normal.
