CZ Shadow 2 OR problem

I'm rereading the original post, and getting more confused. You said it's weird to shoot without a co-witness.

Have you tried ignoring any kind of co-witness, roughly centering the dot in its range, then dialing it in? That way it'll poke a hole in the target where the dot is, co-witness be damned.

If everything is square and lined up, this aspect should work. I'm just wondering about the co-witness bit, and if that is beyond the specs of the plate/dot/FSP combo.

With the dot centered you see the front sight sitting at the lower left. I cannot ignore that.
I'm used to seeing my AR's [when we could use them] with the red dot sitting above the BUIS. I have another CZ TS with the red dot sitting above the front sight.
I just want the same for the Shadow 2 or hoping to get it close.

Pull up on your optic hard I bed you will feel slop screws are to long hiring the slide and that’s what you are feeling is tight the optic itself isn’t fully seated.

If that was the case the OP could just reassemble the plate/red dot and see if the screws protrude.

Again, I used the Glock MOS screws and no cutting was required. Could the OP have received out of spec screws? Sure but it doesn't seem likely.
