I am thinking of buy one. But I have a quick question. I am a lefty and I would like to know is the mag release button able to be switched to the right side? I search online but I cannot find any information about it. Thanks for the help!

Yes.

P.S. I think the magazine catch spring screw is staked, you should probably have a spare on hand just in case.

It is reversible but it was really fussy. As suggested above, it was a ##### to break loose, but I found it more difficult to reassemble.

Slide release is not ambi or reversible. However, it is quite manageable but slightly awkward to operate with a swipe of the left index finger.

Nice gun.

Look like I have to skip the gun then. Thanks for all the advice.

In a steel gun you could track down a CZ 85 Combat. The mag release is not reversible but for a lefty, using your trigger finger to release the mag is a bonus IMHO. When I can, being right handed, I reverse all my mag releases to the right side and use my trigger finger to release the mag. For me it is faster and easier than shifting the gun in my hand to reach the mag release on the left side. The slide release is totally ambi.

Take Care

Agreed..I am a lefty and I have always used my trigger finger to work the mag release...Economy of motion in your mag changes since you are moving your finger outside the trigger guard anyway it’s a single motion to hit the mag release.

I’m a lefty and shoot a shadow 2. Never had an issue changing it over at all it’s super simple. Just YouTube it took all of 5 mins lol

Own a shadow 2 and shoot left. I love the gun. Hand fits perfectly so the mag release button sits between my index and middle fingers. The slide release was abit tough at first but easily manageable once you figure out how much strength to use. Also it's all metal so love the feel and the weight to it it's not a light handgun. The girlfriends glock 19 is light. Sorry for rambling just really like the gun :)

I just received my shadow 2. I'm a lefty it fits very well in my hand. I don't think the extended mag release will be an issue. I think I will spring for the extended safety on the right side though for a thumb rest. I will probably be at the range with it next weekend and see how it shoots.

the staked and loctited mag catches take about 5 minutes to swap, if they are loose it's like 3 minutes.
