Hello Everyone,

So with the new possible regulations I'm thinking about selling my new never fired Optic ready blue CZ Shadow 2 and I'm wondering how much you think I should sell it for? I never have time to take it to the range so I thought i may as well sell it to someone that will hopefully use it then it sitting in my safe.

It depends upon whether or not you want it to sell quickly, slowly, or not at all.

If you price it at $600.- $900. it'll sell relatively quickly.

If you price it at $900.- $1200. it may sell, but slowly.

At $1200. and up, you might get to keep it.

I think it would sell for $1200 pretty quickly. New non-OR are listed at $1600 at retailers that have/had them recently.

Sell it for the same price you got it. Nowadays, none are available on the market and if you find one they ho for 1900. So even at 1500, you still have a great amount of people willing to spend that 450 dollars less then what they would pay new should they find one on the market

Wish you post earlier…I wanted a OR Shadow 2, end up picking a non-OR one from cabelas with $1900 after tax :(

A zero trader rating with a pistol everyone wants. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't be taking a chance on spending $1500 on a gun that may or may not exist in an environment where everyone is trying to purchase what may be their last handgun.... Just me??

We have all been there at some point. With zero trade rating, the seller and the potential buyer could agree to exchange PAL and gun serial# first. The buyer could then call CFP to verify. That should provide a layer of security.

Best retail price on a Shadow 2 OR I've seen is $1900. Considering there's none left in the wild, I would start with the tax-in price on your receipt and add 25%. Negotiate from there.

sell it for what you paid if it’s never been fired. If you want it sold in a hurry, then list it for 20% below your total cost.
add photos to your ad and good luck with starting a transfer. Most private sellers can’t even get them started because the CFO phone lines are so jammed up.
So with that note, as you’re a seller with no rep on the site, nobody is going to trust you to refund them if the transfer never gets started or gets frozen when they implement this new BS.
