CZ Shadow 2 !?

I doubt the rifling in the barrel will change. The current pistol barrels are made through cold hammer forging. Typically they are the offcuts of Skorpion 9mm barrels. The barrels are already incredibly accurate and long lasting, why would they change that?

Ok...so excuse my ignorance...wouldn't polygonal rifling mean that the most prolific pistol in ipsc, wouldn't be able to take hand cast lead rounds....I know Glock doesn't recommend lead in theirs....

No. My Tanfoglio 9MM and 40cal barrels have polygonial rifling and all it ever gets is lead cast bullets. I have yet to experience any leading in the barrel...ever. What Slavex said, why change what are some of the most accurate barrels made.

Take Care

I definitely agree with your comment on the barrel. Also, what I would want to see is tighter slide to frame fit. My 85C is tighter than my SP01 Shadowline. More options as to a Premium/Target version, finish options as to Hard Chrome, variety of adjustable sights and other IPSC division legal upgrades.

looks like the slide of my tactical sport, maybe a little longer frame. otherwise, seems like the grip angle and somehow slightly different ergos.

knowing how CZ are master when it comes to tweak an already existing gun then stating large improvements.
waiting for more infos.

Will be an interesting read of real world test driving results once it's released to the general public.

And if it's allowed under IPSC's Production Division like the SP-01 Shadow.

We should know at IWA if it's going to be legal for PD, no reason it shouldn't be. Specs are out now on the CZUB site, 125mm barrel (5 inch) which is awesome.

IMO it would be a huge mistake if they made this where it wouldn't be legal for shadow divisi....I mean production division. I love where their going with the f/b strap checkering even though most factory checkering sucks and it still boggles the mind why the shadow didn't have it to begin with. Is this going to phase out and replace the shadow like the Xdm did to the xd? Or just another pistol in the lineup between the shadow and Shadowline?

I guess we will find out at IWA where this is going to fall and hopefully an idea on price too. Who knows where it's going to fall

specs aren't flat out clear on this matter. the spec sheet shows a 119mm (4.6 ) barrel; overall lenght shows 127mm. then the description states : ''''The extending of the barrel to 125 mm'''''''!!
