Just talking to a firearms distributer I know in the US.He toured the new CZ modular facility that is making the new CZ-Shadow 2. He was impressed with the accuracy of the robotic machining etc. They told him the facility can produce 25,000 Shadow 2 a year. The initial demand greatly exceeded CZ'S estimate. There are worldwide preorders of 35,000.

I personally think they will sell like hotcakes. Without having handled the gun, it seems like quite the package for the price tag. I'm expecting they will be on par with the Tanfoglio extremes for half the price.

Just look at the number of pre orders available and posts about CZ's. They're selling like hot cakes. I'm waiting till they start coming up used or I can see one in person. Not in a rush I still have my reliable shadow 1.

$1300 plus tax is $1495 where I'm at (15% HST). That's pretty much on par if someone wanted to offload one that was new.

Wait 6 months and buy them any day you like on EE. Same thing happened with Shadows 2 years ago. Everyone lines up and pays full pop for the next miracle and then unloads it shortly thereafter because there is a new wondergun to be bought. Patience, you'll buy a Shadow 2 for less than retail in the near future if you understand how sheeple work.

If the new Shadow is in the $1200-$1300 range maybe not

I'm sure the price will be increasing on them if the pre orders are exceeding what they can produce the first year.

So is the Shadow 2 better than the Shadow 1 when you put in a 13 pound recoil and hammer spring, a stainless guide rod with buffer, and competition hammer? Why the excitement?

I doubt we'll see much of a price increase on the Shadow 2s from the manufacturer. They are very committed to the pricing they laid out at IWA. They did state that there was a chance the price could drop once they got the ball rolling with production.

I plan on popping for this one but thinking if demand is that high we wont see them in the summer as expected perhaps more like the fall, which makes me hesitant to preorder.. looking forward to one though..
