I read here on CGN that a .40 mag will hold 13 rounds, and feed/fire reliably in a Shadow. Can anyone confirm this? Or other mags?

And because the mag is designed for .40, this is a legal configuration, correct?

Thanks!

they hold 10 rds if legal in Canada. In the US CZshadows hold 17rds of 9mm and 13 40sw . SO no you cant stuff it with 9mm, might get 30 22lr in there but they dont work that way. Reporter Post?

Perfectly legal to put 14 rounds of 9mm in the 40cal magnum research baby eagle mag. Do your research. It's right there in the rcmp rules

As was mentioned, yes, it is legal. The law states that the magazine can only hold ten rounds maximum for the calibre it is intended for. People have been getting away with this for years shooting AR's and using Pmags and Beowulf mags in 3gun. The problem is though, that the feed lips are too large in the 40 mags and they will cause issues putting 9mm in them. I have tried this in the CZ TS mags, and they did not work. I have also tried this with Glock 40 mags and they too do not work. Beretta mags do work, but NOT 100% and I would not feel comfortable with the reliability, especially in a match. I was able to stuff twelve 9mm in the beretta 40 mags and they did shoot ok, again, I would not trust them for reliability, so it was for trial ONLY. The extra few rounds is not worth reliability issues!

Do you feel silly now?

Please research before you post. Nothing illegal about it.
OP: I use 40S&W magazines with my CZ 75B, they hold 14 rounds of 9mm and 10 but not quite 11 rounds of 40. Go ahead and have at 'er.

Completely incorrect. Provided a mag holds only 10 rounds of it's intended calibre, it is legal if it holds more of a smaller calibre.

There was even a vid on YouTube of a guy showing compatibility with .40 CZ mags.

So what's the consensus for best compatibility/reliability? .40 CZ, .40 BE, .40 MecGar?

Baldabe, which .40 S&W mags do you use?
