My shadow front sight seems to be out of spec . It appears the front post is thicker on one side. I have to center the red fiber dot in the rear notch but the post is not centered. Would this be covered under warranty? Here's a couple of pics but not sure if they are any help. Oh , I keep hitting to the left unless I kinda turn the gun a bit. To get the dot centred.View attachment 64023View attachment 64024

Yeah that would bother me too. I would be very surprised if it wasn't covered under warranty.

I just picked up a 75B Stainless that has a canted front sight, however I plan on switching it to fiber optic so no bigee.

Curious....never seen it before....certainly I'd check on the warranty..they should send you one out at the very least...

This may sound a little strange, but have you considered the fact that the fiber optic rod was melted off-center? Sometimes when being melted and pressed in, the plastic isn't always perfectly round/cylindrical.

Look at the sight from the barrel end and see if the metal is even on both sides. If it is, then it's the fiber optic rod that's off. If the metal is thinner on the one side, then the site post was milled (formed) incorrectly.

You may also want to ensure that the sight post is seated squarely into the rail. Sometimes when you push the sight into the rail area, it "jumps" out (off the rails) and ends up crooked, canting to one side or the other. That will cause you to shoot left/ right of target.

Hope that helps.

I've been looking at from all angles and its hard to pin point. But if you look at my bottom pic you can see that the post is thicker on one side. I'm not even sure if they're factory or not.

Yes, I see what you mean.

Replacing a fiber optic rod is very easy and can be done in minutes. It requires "melting" a mushroom head on the top of the rod so the rod doesn't keep slipping through the aperature. Sometimes, that mushroom head isn't perfectly "round"... I have a feeling this is the case with your site.

If this is the case, then it would appear as though that there is less metal on one side of the site (because it is covered by the misshapen plastic mushroom head). I hope that makes sense.

Yes it do. Should I remove the fiber op , so I can get a better look? If so, what's easiest way to remove it?

Unless, you have extra fiber optic rods... I'd say, leave it alone. They're not replaceable (one time use only). You can get extras at your local gun shop, kits are very inexpensive.

But if you want to truly verify if your site is "off kilter" and the metal is not evenly balanced, then just take a pair of scissors and cut the rod in the center. Both halves will slide out accordingly.

Then you'll be able to contact CZ customer service and explain the problem, if it truly exists. If not, then just replace the optic rod, being careful to form a more balanced/ cylindrical mushroom head.

Ok , I found the problem. My front post is leaning on an angle and it's not in the centre of the slide. also it appears to be twisted , just a touch. So I have three diff things going on. I could really notice this when I removed the fiber op. And you were right about the fiber op giving the hole a thicker appearance too.It took a magnifying glass and some bright light to notice all those things. Plus the removal of the fiber op. As I said, I'm not even sure if these are factory, maybe they were added after by a previous owner.

Pics aren't great but I agree with RAYE, it looks to be the FO rod melt is off centre.
Yes, Ray was right. But with the fiber gone, I can see the post better. It's kinda twisted and not quite in the middle of the slide. When I look at it from the top down I can see two groves on one side and three on the other. By grooves I mean lines in the slide. I'm not sure if the post being twisted or not centered , is causing this.
Either way I don't see anyway to correct this, so I'll probably just order new sites.

I'll see if the wifey will let me use her camera, post up some good pics after work.
