Has anyone put in some range time yet?

I've been in the market for a 9mm for awhile, I've got some range time in, and narrowed my selection to a P226 or Shadow. (Shadow won)
I'm not in a terrible rush, I loved the Shadow. I know this has been done to death, but should I...
get myself a Shadow now?
wait for the 2?
Buy the shadow, pre order the 2, and then pick? (This is my favourite option, but more than likely not going to happen)

If in a rush, buy a shadow. If not, then wait for the shadow 2. I have the same dilemna and I'll wait for the shadow 2 cause every review I've read from people who own both (not that many people yet) say that the shadow 2 is really superior to the shadow 1.

I'm a big sig fan, but i'm fairly particular on which models I like most (I have the p226 equinox with dark wood grips... oh yeah. In .40 too).
As for cz - love them. I have a 75b in satin nickel, 9mm and it's amazing. If I didn't have this baby, i'd go with the shadow 2! I love the first shadow, but it seems like they somehow improved on perfection (!?!). I predict that when this becomes available it's going to be a hit. The price is the only thing that will hold some people back. Pistol aficionados will pay it though

I actually had chance to take the Shadow 2 out for a quick run this morning and put a few rounds through before I send it off the Calibre magazine for them to do a review on it (I think Slavex may be involved in this review, thanks Rob).
I have never had a handgun that seemed to naturally point itself so well. Follow up shots were easy as recoil management was so under control and after a reduced muzzle rise (with the extra weight out front and lightened slide to reduce reciprocating mass) the fibre optic front sight just fell right back in line. I cannot wait until my name comes up on the back order list to get my own (yes, I have to wait in line like everyone else). I hope to have a full video review ready next week with someone who can actually shoot well (not yours truly obviously).

Thanks James and Vinny, appreciate the feedback. I'm definitely not in a rush, so waiting another year isn't that big of a deal. I've got a good friend with the Canadian Shadowmate, and live near a range that gives me access to a Shadow. Not too hard to scratch that itch. I'll keep lurking the forums for videos and reviews. Gives me extra time to fill the gun jar with cash, will soften the blow when the day [finally] comes..
 
How can we find out where on the list we are located? As I understand some of us may be on back order for a awhile.
