CZ Shadow is fantastic!

Probably good advise but it's the #13 main spring that's the issue and not anything else. This was with my sold CZ85C. I switched back to the factory main spring and it cycled and fired fine.

There's more to it than meets the eye. I'm using a 13 lb spring with a couple of coils cut off it and I'm still getting 100% reliability. But EVERYTHING must be totally clean. In particular I tend to remove the firing pin and make sure that the slide hole for it is clean when doing my full strip and cleans every couple of thousand rounds. And again a very light wipe of light body oil is all the lubrication the firing pin gets.

Hmm, I use Kadet kit on 75 SP-01 Tactical with 13# main and it works 100% even with mixed ammo in the mags. I specifically tested it that way to get a better idea. I stocked with and shoot Fed and Win ammo in .22lr now and like Fed better as it seems to be more accurate and cleaner burning.

Hmm. I guess I'll have to give it another try with someone else's kadet kit cause I ended up selling mine. Lol.

Personally I'd rather be proficient with one gun of a caliber than play with multi guns.

I honestly can say I won't be shooting the Beretta nearly as much as the Shadow, hence the Beretta is for sale.

My stock CZ's never had any FTF or ejection problems, either with factory or hand loads.

But then you're missing out on the much lighter and enjoyable trigger pull that comes with the lighter springs. I found that the lighter pull enhanced accuracy both for casual bullseye fun as well as getting more Alphas in my club match IPSC shooting last Summer and Fall.

An admirable path to follow and one that many a better and longer experienced shooter has suggested to me. But I ENJOY the variety. I love my semi CZ 9's, the .22's and the sole 1911 in .45 ACP. Then there's my 4 S&W revolvers that keep the black powder Ubertis company in the cabinet. I can't see giving up any of them any time soon since I enjoy them all to a great degree.

For some of us variety IS the spice of life.

My last post was kind of confusing. Clarify- I don't want multiple guns of the same caliber. I fully intend to keep and shoot the .40 Glock, .44mag S&W and a .22 of sort. (.357 and .45 coming soon, I'm sure)

Variety is great.
