Cz shadow owners check your guns

Keep up the contact with CZ, I would phone and email them again. Also, there is an "Original CZ Forum" that maybe of assistance.
 
I think I would just build it as a Standard gun in Minor, at least it won't eat itself like it will as an Open gun.
 
my second Shadow had a small casting flaw inside, it allowed the right side safety detent to fall out of position and the safety to fall off. A little metal epoxy filled in the void and she's been good since. At the rate they are producing guns right now, lemons are going to slip through. the key is how do they handle it.

With all the quality controls in place, it is amazing that such a faulty part made it to the production line and makes you wonder about the effectiveness of the same controls.

The lucky part in your bad luck is that the defect is on a static part rather than a moving part. Could have been ugly...

Thank for posting and by all means, please share details on the outcome. Warranty replacement of the frame or the full gun? Was it new or 2nd hand?

Bought it brand new in Sept 2011. 7000 rounds through it max. No word on warranty yet. Will keep you posted.
