I have a CZ Shadow (the original one). I bought it on a whim a long time ago but I never use it. I'm looking for a project and figured this would be a good time to do some work on it up and maybe that'll inspire me to shoot it more.

So with that said, let's see those souped up Shadows!!

Mine's not that souped up, but I changed over to 13lb hammer spring, 11lb recoil spring, stainless steel guide rod and recoil buffer, and Lok palm swell bogie grips. It's a really pleasant to shoot gun with heavier bullet / lower PF loads.

I just buy extra slides & barrels so I can use the same frame for Duty Pistol and Duty Pistol Optic divions. Just picked up another slide and barrel as well as a precision barrel bushing. Once it's broken in, that will be my match setup and will use the old slide/barrel for practice.

If I remember correctly, a kit was available to convert from D.A./S.A. to S.A. only.
Anyone do this conversion, and what was your impressions of it?

Joseph milled my SP01 Shadow slide for a direct Acro mount. Works great. Sadly Joseph sold his shop and probably will not set back up to do this for some years (if ever)

I did such conversion for a local guy a few years back and he was happy with it, if I recall correctly we've put straight fully adjustable trigger in and competition hammer, this resulted in very crisp break and very little take up.
Personally, I see no reason to lose DA with Shadow, short reset disconnector makes a good difference thou.
