CZ shadow

Thanks gents, ended getting one on sale from one the vendors, can’t wait to get it. Wonder how it compares my so-01 shadow line.

I like holding the shadow 1 better than the 2 because of the spikey grips on the 2....but man o man does the shadow 2 shoot nicely. I have never shot a loonie sized target with a pistol except from 1 magazine from a shadow 2.....

I'd like to get a shadow 2 eventually but indent shoot ipsc or anything fancy at the moment so will wait till I decide or have the time to do that before jumping in too far.

I haven't shot one yet, but am in the same boat. I'd like a Shadow 2 if I can find the time to get into IPSC. There are some nice looking wood grips available from CZ.

Thx agian, In terms of what I payed, it was a PM offer so I wount reveal that, and i have seen those prices before. So not that spectacular of deal but enough for me to get it now instead of waiting until later.

Funny part is, the sp01 shadow line is more than a shadow 2 now. When I got my shadow line i found it for slightly cheaper than regular shadow sp-01.

Now that is curious maybe CZ are improving their manufacturing and removing some hand finishing making it more affordable they did this to some of their rifles when they implemented CNC machines

As far is I know the only difference between the spo1 shadow and shadow line , were the aluminum grips and steel guide rod. I’m not aware of any hand fitting difference between the two.

You may be right. I have to tell you though my 75 Shadowline (I paid $1,100), has a much better trigger than my $800 SP-01 Shadow that I now own. I got a chance to shoot a 75 Shadowline a year before they became available. The gun was directed at the IDPA SSP Division. At the time IDPA had a thing about FLDC and weight. Both concerns have pretty much gone by the wayside as IDPA increased the weight limit to 43 oz. and the Shadow became legal right out of the box. It was and mine is a tack driver. I still like the 75 Shadowline just on looks alone. I really don't care for the "look" of the SP-01Shadow and the rail etc. Both guns shoot the same in my hands. I have pretty much moved to the polymer guns for competition but still enjoy the steel guns.

From memory my original Shadow that I sold had a nicer trigger I think than the one I have now. The new one is likely the same and the only thing that has changed is my memory. LOL

Take Care

Bob

The Shadow line I have is an Sp-01, initially I did not like the rail look either l, but It grew on me and now I prefer the rail look. Mine was under $900 when I got it a few years ago. It is definitely a great pistol, and I love it. When I took my 3 gun course, the instructor told me to never sell it, since I did so well with it. Not sure why it costs so much more than a regular shadow now, unless I got a smoking deal back then and did not even know it, It was the only one I could find at the time.

There were a lot of differences, though I wouldn't necessarily point to hand fitting as one of them.
