CZ Shadow2 Frame Cracks

This was just posted on the IPSC Village. It maybe an interest to those who own a Shadow2.

Hello folks...I’m new to the forum...in my 3rd season shooting IPSC. Just found out that my CZ Shadow 2 that I’ve been shooting for 9 months has a small crack on the frame above where the trigger spring is located. Apparently CZ has been addressing the issue and milling improved frames as of late. I call them gen 2 frames. Anyone having experienced this? I couldn’t find anything on this topic so I figured I might as well post it."

Thanks for sharing this, I wonder how old his Shadow 2 is? Is this an issue fixed? 9mm? Sorry I cna't access the post/

He indicates CZ is or has addressed it by beefing up the slide in the affected area. The crack runs horizontally on the right hand side of the frame as you look down on the gun with the muzzle pointing away from you. The crack is just below the slide rail and about an inch long ahead of the slide stop. Maybe that is why they send Shok Buffs with the guns.

He says he has been shooting IPSC for three seasons. He has been shooting the Shadow2 for nine months.
