Hi,

I have come across a CZ Slavia 630 model 77. Don't know much about it, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows anything about them that you can share including what they are worth, it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I bought one years ago and ended up returning it, they are a classic but I wasn't that impressed and opted to get something else.

Not sure what a used one would be worth but they were inexpensive new.

I bought the 631 target model a short time ago. It's pretty much like new and I think I paid $100.00 for it. Also bought a 624 and a 618 for $50.00 each. So kind of gives you an idea depending on condition.

Still using my brother's one from around 40yrs ago. Heavy. Works. Airhawks go around $150 new, might pay a couple dollars more for a 630 but not much.
Stick with irons.

Thanks for your input everyone. I haven't looked into any parts yet. I don't hear or feel anything when pulling the trigger. Is that an indication of internal issues?

Sounds like the safety is engaged if the trigger won't move, is it cocked?
You can usually de-#### break actions by pulling the broken barrel back and then working the trigger and carefully releasing the spring pressure with the hand holding the barrel.
Generally not a good idea to dry fire the gun as with no pellet the stroke will be a bit harsher.
Some guns have auto safeties that require the safety to be switched to fire each time the gun is cocked, not sure about that model.

Without making it too long of a story, this slavia belonged to my brother who passed away. I don't think I'll do anything with it and looking to sell it for his widow. I'm not sure of its working condition and it doesn't seem to have the front site and the stock is a bit banged up (definiately has some age). Is there a market for it and what would be a reasonavle price if any?

Thanks.

How bad is the stock, can you post a picture?

Without the front sight it will likely be a bit harder to sell but still perfectly usable with a scope.
To sell it more easily I'd slap on a cheap scope that you have laying around if you have any so it doesn't look "naked".
Good way to get rid of an unused scope.

I have two of the 630/77 models (with open sights and not banged up stocks) that I bought around 2019 and paid less than 50 bucks each so that might give you a bit of a direction.

Someone who knows these rifles will likely pay $50+ for it in the condition that it is, just need to find the right buyer.
I'd prefer yours over a new cheap/$100 chinese break barrel pellet gun.

It shouldn't be to hard to figure out if it's in working order minus the front sight?
You could dry fire it if you don't have pellets but see if you can source some pellets and give it a go.... maybe it's a sweet little can plinker and you will find some enjoyment out of shooting it, if not you can sell it for $50 as a working but needs some attention pellet gun.

Putting a scope on an older Slavia is an exercise in frustration...the slots are the wrong width.

What are they, 13mm vs the common 11mm?(wild ass guesses)
Rings are probably out there, but might cost as much as the gun lol

Just measured mine and yes it's about 13mm

10 USD buys a set of alu china rings on ebay that would work but indeed likely not worth the hassle waiting 4 weeks for rings to arrive and the cost for scope and rings.

Yeah...13mm exactly. Good luck.

Newer CZ Slavia production, the last few recent years, they changed it to 11mm, thus any .22 rings will fit.

As for China rings...you could buy quite a few sets of various rings and none of them will work out well. I'll save you the $. :)
