CZ SP-01 Shadow Mods Query?

Another question. Could anybody clarify, what is stock recoil spring for SP01 Shadow ? Is it different from non-SP1 Shadow ?

Thanks !

From what I have heard the stock hammer in the Shadow is pretty much the same as the competition hammer other than cosmetic differences. I've even heard Angus Hobdell hint at this in a video. It's not worth changing out your Shadow stock hammer IMO.

the similarities between the two hammers is that they are hammers. there is a massive difference in the geometries of the hook face as well as the rest of the hammer that the sear can interface. The new Shadow Mates come with a competition hammer.
Now do you need to swap out the hammer for a competition one? it really depends on the hammer you get. Some of the guns show up with an amazing hammer that provides for smooth easy trigger presses and amazingly short resets. Others, well, don't.

I'd skip the competition hammer, never did anything on one of mine. My best had: trigger job, thin grip tape grips, grip tape on front and backstrap, 13lbs hammer that was woodscrewed into a piece of wood and left for a few wks to take tension off, 11lbs recoil, rami firing pin spring, extended firing pin, stainless steel guide rod. Came out to 5.03lbs double and 1.5lbs single with a super short reset. Use Federal Primers.

Is that extended firing pin a factory part? If not then its not production legal.

Extended firing pin is unnecessary, factory firing pin is plenty long enough. As I stat do above I run an 11lb factory hammer springs and I have zero reliability problems with any ammo. Even with a 22 conversion kit on top I have no issues.

13 pound mainspring with 6 coils cut off, extended firing pin, will still set off win primers. Double action unbelievable, not my ipsc gun.

Tried one of these modded triggers today and damn, the DA pull is amazing! I also really like the aluminum grips, does anyone in the GTA stock these parts?
