CZ sp-01 shadow or tactical?

Shadow comes with Competition rear and FO front sights, 'tuned' action and creep-free trigger with overtravel screw, ambi manual safety.
Tactical comes with night sights, ambi decocker, heavier recoil (and most likely main too) spring, trigger has moderate creep.
Shadow is a much better gun for IPSC/USPSA.

I owned both.
Shadow had too light trigger for my taste. I hated the fibreoptic front sight.
I could shoot tactical much better than my shadow.
Shadow was shooting too high out of the box.
The manual safety on shadow sucks. The mag release extension was nice.
Overall tactical was more practical, better gun for me.

Two guys in my club had the same problem with Shadow, 2-4" too high on 25 yards. Nothing that cannot be learned to compensate, but it is kinda weird that
it is off right out of the box. Tactical is more sturdy, police& military type of gun. Heavy trigger, de-cocker. You draw and it is ready to shoot.
The last thing you want is to pull your trigger and nothing happens because
the manual safety flipped to on while you pulled the gun. I guess you can
learn to always check the manual safety, but why complicate things?
The manual safety on the SP-01 can only be engaged when the hammer is in the single action position, essentially "cocked and locked".
I much preferred the decocker "tactical" model. There was also a sight "rattle" in the SP-01 safety mechanism that drove me crazy. Decocker all the way.

I love my Shadow. Every different type of sight will work a little differently. It took me about 50 rounds and ever since then it aims really naturally and accurately for me. The gun fits me like a glove (same shape as the Tactical) and the trigger is fantastic.
