CZ SP-01 Shadow vs Tanfoglio ????

This has been an interesting thread to read. Im just waiting on my RPAL right now but the STI Trojan and the Tangfolio Stock lll. No idea which id like better lol

These are 2 totally different guns with different feeling.

I believe RLJ meant the Shadowmate version. I have two of these and shot it side to side with a Stock II & III extreme. Overall finish (duotone bronze-gold) & checkering is better on the Tanfos. Accuracy (trigger, sights) goes to the Shadowmate.

Add a bit of griptape on the Mate & take away the Tanfos flashy finish & the Shadowmate is the clear winner. At $1850 (the price on two regular Shadow) they are not cheap tho.

I have no doubt of that. Ive mainly shot some budget level hand guns and S&W M&P9 pistols so either one is a step up. Plus i have a hard time finding anything that properly fits my big hands.

I'd strongly disagree - and $1850 for a CZ is like buying a KIA Rio at an Escallade price, but everyone entitled to their opinion and that's why I let this thread continue on.

I'm going to lock it down now, I don't have time to monitor this thread while at the Nationals and there's not much more to be said, other than:

Tanfoglio is definitely the better gun.

If you're in Toronto the rest of this week, drop by our booth at the IPSC Canada Nationals (we'll be open around the lunch break each day) - we don't have any Extremes to show you, but our Dealer, CRAFM is right next door with some and I can let people handle my Stock II Xtreme too.
