Any idea when this will be imported? It is basically a regular CZ SP-01 with new hammer, sights, and grips. I know you can get these parts from Angus but would cost alittle more. So best get it from factory.

I haven't heard anything on it, but if you are thinking of using it for IPSC Production, I do not believe it has been approved yet. It is a cool gun though, I hope to get a CZ SP-01 Tactical this summer.

The SP-01 Shadow is NOT approved for Production Division at this time :(.

This pistol is the same as the regular sp-01 with added accessories.
The parts are all OEM and are available for regular CZ SP-01. In fact, the mods are exactly what Angus uses. I beleive ipsc1 has this exact config. BTW, the pistol frame or slide it doesn't say shadow on it, there is no way to tell it from a regular CZ SP-01!!

I want one!

I know what you are saying Musky Hunter and I agree with you. I sent an email to Vince Pinto, IPSC Secretary asking about the Shadow for production. He said if it's not on the list, it is not approved. The F.O. sights on the Shadow would be the give-away.

FO are allowed with the CZ SP-01!

from ipsc village
Mr. Pinto made the following comment on Nov 17, 2005:

"In light of this new evidence, I must reverse my earlier comments and agree that FO sights (OFM and aftermarket) are legal on the CZ pistols listed."

There is NO way to tell the difference between the regular SP-01 and the Shadow. They add ons are available and allowed for Production division.

been reading the global village and the shadow is yet to be mass produced and have yet to have final decisions made regarding prod. legality.

Vince just told the members to buy an SP-01 and get the mods seperatly.

whatever......

 Well that does not make any sense Vince. We should just go ahead and buy the Shadow Musky Hunter.

SP01 Shadow

there's more differences than just the fiber optic to the "plain Jane" Tactical version........besides not being the "decocker" but manual safety version of the SP01 it comes with the factory Production division approved parts of skeletonized hammer, grips, rear Competition sight..........it is not clear yet whether or not it has had minor trigger tuning by Angus or whether all the models exhibit the absence of the lanyard "loop" at the rear of the magwell (as it is a part not widely used nowadays and could get in the way on mag changes or snag on something)
