Anyone ever tried this one ?, impressions?, reviews ? whcih retailer would carry this in Canada ? leaning toward this one but would like to first look and hold it .

I have not seen that variation in Canada yet. The standard SP 01 Tactical without the threaded barrel, suppressor sights and grey coating is not uncommon but less common than the standard SP 01 Shadow (DA/SA version with safety, no decocker). It is going to be a nice gun for sure. The base platform is one of the most popular out there. You could probably go to a number of different shops to handle the standard Shadow and that would give you a pretty good idea. Other than the decocker, the rest is just cosmetics for us.
If you are set on that model, you will likely have to go through the US or try a special order which will take time.

I have an SP-01 tactical in 9mm and in 40s&w. Have had them for quite a few years each.
They are nice smooth , accurate guns, typical CZ's.
They're difficult to find in Canada now that the shadow and shadow 2 have replaced them.
Shooting a Decock takes a little getting used to with the first shot out of the holster being double action but you'll get it.

It's nice, very nice. But.......buy the Shadow2 instead.
