CZ SP-01: Take two!

I was going to post a question regarding what I should choose as my first handgun, and I think I just figured it out. Time to start saving some coin. :)

I definately wouldn't pick a CZ for a first gun. If you get a good one, great, but an awful lot of people lately get shiddy ones, then instead of enjoying shooting, you're applying for ATTs to get it to and from the gunsmith for months at a time. Yippee.

Get a used Beretta, or a refurbed Sig. I'd suggest a Glock, but I have one of those, it works great, and shoots marvellously, but Glock owners aren't allowed to say glocks are good.

I agree! CZ owners aren't allowed to say CZ good either. I went gunsmith one and other week to ask question regarding my F%#king 10-22 and Walther P22 problem but never need to ask any question about my S&W 686 and my CZ 75B. But of course Clock and Beretta are great gun too. Having said that I really want a SP 01 now.

CZs are fine guns, I just wouldn't pick it as a first time purchase. I'm buying a CZ clone for my new IPSC gun, after all.

But it's not like I'm selling the Block... :)

If a risky gun is your second purchase, you still have your first purchase to play with while #2 is at the doctor.
