So I've been hunting high and low to no avail for this pistol. Looks like importing one from the US for the price of a regular shadow (on top of the $1699 price tag is the only way). Too bad, it is one ###y gun :(

From CZ customs website:

The Shadow platform has been known for accuracy and the new Accu-Shadow takes it to the next level. The Accu-Bushing system holds the barrel with much more precision, enabling us to cut group sizes nearly in half. In testing, the pistols returned groups substantially less than 3" at 50 yards (using Fiocci 124 JHP). Add to that a full complement of custom work including competition hammer, lighter springs (11 lb. recoil, 13 lb. main), thin black aluminum grips, stainless steel guide rod and polished internals.

A short-reset disconnector is used to greatly reduce trigger reset between shots, making this SA/DA trigger reset like a nicely-tuned single-action only trigger. The Accu-Shadow is topped with a fiber optic front and HAJO serrated target rear (adjustable for height, also drift adjustable for windage).

Short of a full custom pistol, it'd be difficult to find greater out-of-the-box accuracy than the Accu-Shadow can deliver.

Just tried one for size this Tuesday in Montreal. Grip feels the same but everything else felt nicer. Much better finish. Yes it takes more space on the credit card too. Did not go for it but its on the wish list.

And where was this? And are you sure it was the Accu Shadow? The finish is the same as on the SP01 as the accu shadow starts life as this model and is worked over by the CZ customs shop. I would bet that it was the SP01 shadow line that you held at CRAFM. All CZ in Canada come from CZUB and not from CZ USA which is why we don't get the Accu shadow here.

Just phoned my dealer and I stand corrected, it was not the the Accu Shadow, it was the Lime. Shame on me - its basically the same old Shadow but with steel grips and what seem to me as a nicer finish, 860$. He was too busy right now but will call me tomorrow if he has some on order. He did not seem to know about it so you are probably right if you have already looked into it. Will PM you if lucky.
Cheers

Yeah I've tried everyone, my local dealer tried all the Dist. Too. CZ customs (ghost international in Arizona) says I can order from them direct but it will be an extra $600 to import, and that doesn't cover the tax when I get it either.

Why dont you get a third party to import it for you? Prophet River and Irunguns both do it for way less than $600 bucks

That's my only other option. I talked to irunguns today, I would have to order it from CZ customs and have it shipped to irunguns as an FFL then irunguns can start the import process.

Sounds like all you need is the "accu-bushing" and install it in an ordinary Shadow. I've already got a light, smooth trigger and custom grips.

edited to add: a quick look at the CZ Custom site doesn't tell me a lot, but it looks more complicated than I first thought. The bushing is threaded into the slide somehow. I'd like to see CZ offer a retrofit package: they say they'd have to do the bushing/guide rod/barrel fitting anyway, so it would be interesting to see what they'd charge to change an existing Shadow over to this system.
At any rate, those are damn impressive groups, and I'm interested in getting them.

The gun will never be IPSC Production legal. USPSA maybe, IPSC nope. Not unless Angus has managed to find a way to convince Vince.
