Find myself starting to look hard at buying one of these bad boy's. Been reading about them online and it seems to get really good reviews. Are the CZ's
really that good?

Stop reading, you are wasting your time.
The CZ line of firearms is highly recommendable.

I have the Shadow myself. Two range visits back the RO was doing a walk thru with a couple of new potential shooters and I overheard him go through all the firearms people were shooting. 4 of the 9 lanes where CZ's (all Shadows), and 2 had been played with (accessorized, improved mechanics).

I have NEVER heard, or received, a complaint regarding the CZ line.
They simply perform.

Everything I've read says that this is a beauty. So I just bought one as my first firearm and am waiting for CFO approval. The competition hammer version is out now.

If possible, try before you buy. The CZ isn't popular because Justin Beiber is in the commercial, but tastes vary.

Dinsdale !

Sorry for trouble you, but as it seems that you have association with Smith Falls Club and your club runs both IPSC and IDPA. Based on you response I assume that Shadows are quite popular in you club, so are they used for IDPA as well (reason of my question is that "stock" Shadow doesn't fit 39 ounce rule) ?

Excellent fit and finish, shoots amazing, shot low with 124 grain @ 15 yards, I gave my buddy some 147's and it shot like a laser beam afterwards @ 15 yards.

The pistol with standard included grips are really small and thin for my hands as I have long fingers and can often hit the mag release when I try to get a proper grip on the pistol, that said I am left handed.

My hands swallow Beretta 92's and 1911's easily, even a desert eagle feels like a "medium" sized gun to me.

For most users tho this is not a problem and I highly recommend the gun still for what it is and does.

I feel for you. I read every article I can find on a product and make all the comparisons before I give up my cash. So many of us have already done this so just go and get it you won't be sorry. It really is that good. If you are looking for something a little more trick - the Canadian Shadow is available for a couple hundred more . . .

Hand's down the Shadow is the one I am most accurate with.I have not had a single failure of any kind in over 500rnds.Solid pistol and very well priced for what you are getting...

Sometimes I think CGN needs more "search police". How many of these "should I buy a Shadow?!" threads do we really need?
These threads will keep coming so you better choose: ignore them or be frustrated every time you log on. :)

btw, the Shadow is a fantastic pistol. Most accurate one I've ever shot so I'm having a real hard time trying to pick out another handgun.
