Does anybody know of a gunsmith in the Calgary region that can modify my Shadow to meet all requirements for IDPA ?
Any help would be much appreciated !

the sp01 is to heavy for ssp without some stuff swapped out

not really gun smith stuff, joe t. can tell you what he had to do but for the life of me i cant remember his cgn name at the moment

As far as I can see at 41.616oz it is too heavy for SSP but it should be okay for ESP - but I am not sure if the list weight is with or without a mag.

Has anyone actually weighed one?

Weight is with an empty mag. Are they steel framed? If so I think this:

EXCLUDED Modifications (NON-Inclusive list):
1. Full length dust covers of carbon or stainless steel.

would knock them out of ESP.

Shadows can be used in both SSP and ESP if they make the SSP weight limit of 39 oz. This can be accomplished by swapping out the grips, slide lock lever and a couple of other parts that escape me at the moment. Joe T. (Corp Punishment here on CGN) recently classified 'Expert' in both SSP and ESP with his. (And took 12th place overall (out of 34) and 1st place 'C' class - Production Division at this weekend's IPSC BC Provincial Championships.)
