It works for all mil-spec and commercial tubes. Just like all adaptors and AR receivers. The thread is functionally identical.
 
Sorry Stevo that statement isn't entirley true;

Not only is the threads on a mil-spec buffer tube longer but they also have shraper peaks. Although the thread pitch is the same.

So mctrigger you are better off buying a comercial buffer tube than tring to make a mil-spec buffer tube work in a comercial butt stock adaptor. Although you can make a comercial buffer tube work in a mil-spec butt stock adaptor. Hope this helps ya ;)

What part of "functionally identical" isn't entirely true? :rolleyes: The adaptor is threaded with a 1 3/16 -16 tap, just like every AR receiver out there.

Either tube will work in a NEA adaptor and that's what he asked.
