CZ 75/85, almost identical except for the B and Omega series. The 85 Combat has ambidextrous controls, otherwise, built on same frame and size. Finish might be different depending on the year it was built. If you are lucky enough to find a pre-B, then no need for a trigger upgrade. Magazine might be an issue on a pre-B though I am not sure as I have only seen one pre-B and I have did not try the current production magazine. Depending on the condition, if the price is right, go for it.
I have a Norinco copy of the CZ85. I expect a real CZ is better made, but my Norinco is good enough to show me the CZ is a good design. Buying from a reputable seller whose assurance that the gun is in good serviceable condition, I think you'll like what you are getting.

i question me for the news gun for shooting . i have norinco np-58 , 40 s&w . i thinks the cz is very better for acurate shooting right ???
Personally I find the Surplus CZ's to be over priced.For the price of the surplus guns you can usually find a used one on the EE that will have a much better finish. Most of the surplus guns have heavy holster wear.

I have shot several pistols and the most accurate I have ever shot with is 1 mag from a Shadow 2, grouped Blazer within a loonie at 25 Meters..... If I ever buy another handgun that will be it! Otherwise CZ Shadow shoots about 2-3 inch groups at 25M regularly, Glock 17 gets about 3-4 inches and the Berretta92 hits the target sometimes. If you have the cash and ability just jump in and Buy a Shadow 2 though, its true what they say the Shadow 1 is nice but the 2 wow....
Surplus CZ's would be a fine choice (Or a Beretta) when compared to Norinco's and other $500ish guns (if that was my price point that's what I would do for sure). So long as the barrel/gun is in good shape it should last you years. Plus you'll avoid the tedious CZ break in, I have broken in 9mm pistols, 22lr, 308 and 7.62x39 CZ firearms and they all made me question CZ accuracy; they all became masters after 200+ rounds.... strange some guns like Tikka's and Savages that I watched people shoot first time out hit within a dime. CZ's at least for me seem to take practise to get to that same point. At first I thought it was just me but its somewhat of a unique CZ issue I still like how they shoulder and they just hold right for me everytime I look down the sights (Every CZ rifle/pistol I have every held). The other pro to some surplus that may also appeal to some people is that the front sight may be all steel instead of having a plastic florescent tube that can be damaged or broken.
