I was only vaguely aware of this pistol since I'm not looking for another .40 S&W pistol and I though that was the only calibre choice for this model. I see that one of the EE dealers has a 9mm model posted--I was looking for a 9mm for the PPC-style matches my club puts on and I had kind of settled on a 1911 but the Tactical Sport has caught my eye. I owned a CZ Shadow before and liked it OK, but this one's built on the larger CZ97-sized frame, mostly (I think) to give huge mag capacity--16 in .40S&W and 20 for 9mm (but that's moot for us). For those who have shot them--what are your thoughts?

My buddy has one, fantastic light trigger, very accurate, heavy, easily handles .40 major loads. I personally find it a bit big in the grip but that can be solved by changing the wood grips to the CZ slim aluminum grips.

A top choice for IPSC Standard, but the 9mm version is usually not seen here in Canada but is quite popular in the US.

I'm very interested in this thread. Can the trigger be adjusted so there is very little take up? Any reliability issues?

The Tactical Sport I had in .40 had 2 screws in the trigger to adjust the take up and stop postion. These triggers are great right out of the box as far as weight and creep goes. I think the factory has them set at about 28 oz., definately under 2 pounds on the one I had.

yup i concurr with everything that has been said. a buddy has one in .40 and i loooove it. I ALMOST bought one, but decided a shadow better suited my budget and needs (just picked it up yesterday! 300 rounds later i'm super impressed with it!)
