Hi all,
Just want to pick the brains of owners of these guns. I am interested in getting one for IPSC standard but have never even seen one. No one will bring one in unless purchased or down payment. Now I have a cz 85c and love it so I know cz a bit.

The concern I have is I am a lefty and have heard the oversized mag release sticks out quite far. I am worried that I may hit it with my middle finger and cause an unexpected mag drop.

So any one who owns one, do you think this is an issue? And any one around Edmonton who has one and goes to a range once in awhile, I would love to handle the gun prior to purchase and also see how you like it. :)

No problem with the mag release, easy to switch to the other side. Don't make me try to spell (ambidextric ?). It will take 5 minutes, maybe 10 the first time (changing the mag release over that is, my spelling even longer).

It is a pretty big grip, people with smaller hands often have issues, but slimmer aluminum grips are available which help out alot. The trigger out of the box is better than most 1911's after a trigger job :nest:. The trigger also has pre and post travel adjustment screws so you can set it up to your liking.

I've shot the one that lives at my local Rent-A-Gun range and it's an amazing gun. It's an ex IPSC gun and it has a trigger job. For a gun with many, many thousands of rounds through it the grouping is amazing and easy to shoot.
 
i'm gonna have mine today, but i can already tell it's a big gun like the X5 is,and the SA trigger feel is a dream ....i expect a swapp of the extractor for an aftec,another hammer maybe, and i already added a LPA adjustable rear sight and a comp 6.5 front.....best gun for the moner asked imo.
 
Thanks for replys fellas. Did not know the mag release was reversible.

Now all I have to do is find one.

Sorry to say but I just bought the one at Reliable yesterday. :D
I'm looking forward to taking it to the range to see what it'll do!
