Just Curious as I have become more interested in this one. Why would a purpose built competition pistol like this not come with adjustable sights? Does it conform to specific rules or something?
Thanks

For IDPA and IPSC I have never found it necessary to change my setting on my guns with adjustable sights. Never. At the ranges we typically shoot I just found there isn't enough difference to require adjusting the sights. This might have something to do with my ineptness in shooting handguns too. I suppose CZ decided for the purpose the gun is to be used for adjustable sights were not necessary. I agree. I prefer fixed sights on my handguns but have ones with adjustables.

Take Care

Thanks. I guess I always assume people shooting comps would want to tinker with loads, point of impact etc. maybe I am over estimating the ultimate impact of all the potential sources of variability

In CZ case this is probably to keep price down (and reliability). Tanfoglio has adjustable, but this is more expensive equipment.

I just scored a CZTS. Sweet feeling pistol, but that rear sight is a billboard! Think I'm gonna look into getting an adjustable one sometime this summer.

sigtactical, what height front sight did you go with after changing the rear?

(E)

Sights were right on from factory. Just note, if you put on the big magwell for IPSC, you will have to change the rear sight to the smaller adjustable one from CZ custom or it will not fit "the box". You will then need to get smaller front sight - go for fiber optic at the same time.:)
