Are these platforms compatible in terms of parts used? Will after market parts for the CZ/VZ fit on the CSA? Are the magazines interchangeable?

Mags and aftermarket stuff will fit. My gripe is the CSA safety moves opposite of the CZ rifles and is a bit of a bugger to switch from safe to fire quickly.

The platforms are compatible. For the most part, the parts should interchange. I too find the safeties turning the opposite direction on them a pain as it messes with your muscle memory if you own both brands. The CSA does seem like a beefier build and is heavier than its CZ counterpart.

I have heard the walls of the receiver on the CZ are to thin for the side rail accessory.

The CZ's are the Military grade Vz's made from military stocks, I have seen two in person that have been to the gunsmith to get drilled for the rail. I would rather have the railed dust cover.

Dont worry the 858 is beyond tough and battle tested unlike the CSA version(stiring the pot slowly) :)

I have a number of both. The CSA definitely has a beefier receiver. The fit and finish is a little nicer too. Nothing wrong with the CZ's though.

They are too thin for the CSA rail as that is designed to be used a thicker receiver.

The CZ or the CSA has a platform but I'm unsure which one.

Magazines are totally interchangeable!

You'll find some fitting with things like handguard rails and mag-well adapters.

Cz858's can be drilled and tapped to have the side rail, but the CSA carbines were designed specifically with that side rail and POSP scope mount in mind.

FSNs are a wild card! We don't see enough of them unfortunately.
