ok guys lets here which gun you think is better and why the sig 226 9mm or any of the CZ 9mm models

Good question. I considered both as my first center fire handgun. I originally had a pretty big jones on for the Sig P226 9mm and was looking at a factory refurb, but then Nine posted pictures of his CZ SP01 and I decided to have a look at that one too.

I handled an SP01 not too long after that. I liked how it felt in my hand, so I bought it. It cost less new than the factory refurb Sig I had originally wanted, and it has a nice look & feel.

So I guess price was the biggest factor, second to reviews from other CGN members.

You're welcome to shoot my SP01 anytime.

I would say that the CZ gives you a option of DA/SA and first shot SA if you don;t mind being cocked and locked.

The SIG gives you the decocker and no safety to worry about, it is also a little faster to field strip as you don't need to line up the lines and knock the slide release out.

The Sig slide is a bit easier to grasp for racking back the slide, I find my NZ clone a real pain for this and the NZ slide is slighty bigger than the CZ.

Other than these minor things they are both great pistols.

I have a CZ 75B and I think it is the best bang for the buck and it shoot very well. Point nature and feel very comfortable in my hand even my hand is a XS size. If price is not a factor, buy what ever you like the most.

I love my CZ SP-01! :D I'd like to have a SIG at some point as well, but right now I don't have the cash. :( CZ's are a SMOKING deal for the money. I want a SIG 220 ST... around the $1400 mark! I'll keep dreaming, for now...

back before the SP01 and the improved hammer for the CZ I looked at a Sig and a CZ for competition. I liked the trigger on the Sig better but didn't like how the gun felt in my hand, the CZ fit me better. triggers improve with wear but the sig would always feel bulky to me.

both guns fit my hand really well, but I would take a P226 over any CZ any day, I do like the new SP-01 but IMO it'd look much better if it didn't have the rail (like 97B model)...

I find that the CZ has a better trigger in both DA and SA, and is more controllable (ie flip) due to its much lower bore axis. Added to that they are quite a lot cheaper than a Sig.

Sig are very well made. The blued finish is average, but they are quite user friendly.

Honestly I would take a CZ 85 or SP-01 as I personally feel that the CZ is just as good (if not better) than the Sig and I can put the money towards ammo etc.

Personally, I have CZ's in the safe but no Sig's.

CZ's are surely better value then SIG's. With that in mind, sigs are wonderful guns. Accurate, reliable and easy to maintain.
I like CZ's better.
My 75 just started to "break in" around 1000 rounds. Trigger is getting so much better.

All the sigs i have tried are VERY accurate..but i can't say the same for all the CZs. What is your budget? Look at the Sig 226 ST!

I doubt Sigs are more accurate than CZs. And the CZs wins on the looks hands down. Although CZs do have the down side of giving their users a hard time racking the slide.

i own both (CZ75 model 2 and Sig Sauer 266R, german made), beside the coin only REAL differences' are personal opinion and CZ can be cocked and locked

both guns will out do ANY person's natural ability to shoot for accuracy wise

i feel cz is a little heavier and a TAD smaller, but a prefer a heavy gun as i have weaighted my sig as well

the way i have set my guns up i can and have out shot dedicated 1911 race guns, how? i dunno maybe user error or rig setups

+ is that my cz has almost 50 000 rounds (note:change main spring every 5000ish rounds ;) ) through her and only one broke extractor and one worn out main spring and MAYBE 5 stoppages outside of the competition that my extractor broke, sig only has 500ish round through her with 0 stoppages

personal opinion: is go to your local range and ask to try one of each and make your decision from there, again it comes to your preference and what you can afford

training will negate the small nuisances such as gripping the CZ slide or the Sig DA trigger

I just bought a well looked after CZ85 with Pach grips. It felt real nice in my larger than average hands. I will be trying it next week, so I can't comment on it's performance yet, but if fit and finish are any indicator, it should be a blast.

I had a Sig P220 in 9mm and sold it a while back. I recently bought a CZ75B. For me, the SIG was much more comfortable to hold and had a WAY nicer trigger. That being said, i paid less than $500 for my very slightly used CZ delivered to my door, so they're definately a good deal. I do, however want to sell my CZ and buy another SIG, preferably one of the German made ones.

I've owned a sig p220 in 9mm as well and currently own a cz75b. Both fit my hand well. My opinion is the sig had a better trigger was was slightly more accurate. The sig was absolutely reliable. The only thing that I didn't like about about the sig was how light it was. Personally I found that it made the recoil really snappy with alot of muzzle flip.
The cz is nice and heavy. About 5 minutes of work (with a $5 file) to make the trigger about as good as the sig. Had to replace the extractor spring with a heavier wolf ($3.50 US) to clear up some FTE I was having, now its dead reliable.
